As much as I like Monty, I'd much prefer our new multi-million pound international-class (i.e. not Scotland) central midfielder take the armband

Failing that, whichever bugger wants it, can have it

I still think that Monty is vastly under-rated, and that he had a really good game on Saturday. He fully deserved the captain's armband, and I think he could flourish with it.

There has been absolutely nothing wrong with his passing recently, infact i'd hazard a guess it has a bigger success rate than the majority of the rest
