Can't wait for Preston

They were 17th in November, 25 points behind Cardiff who went up
They eventually finished 2 points behind em

True - they finished in the PO positions and beat Derby I think in the PO final - they were by the end of that season playing the best football in the division.

They did us 3 nil at Craven Cottage and hardly gave us a kick as it was on the box - as did Wolves around similar time.

We start at an earlier time and can still move up the division quite rapidly if we get our finger out and put a few quick points on the board.

It's all in our hands as they say.

Yeah, I cant wait to attend our second match of the season - should be great. Davies back too adds the extra solidity.

Lets hope Saturday wasn't a false dawn - we were all warned that SJ liked to tinker, assess, experiment early in the season until he struck gold. Lets hope Saturday was just that.

Exactly this I think tomorrow will see where we're at,win again and it's on lose then it's panic stations

Huff and puff for twenty minutes. Fifteen minutes of trying to work it across the back and up the channels. Go behind from a breakaway goal, then rinse and repeat for the second half with Burke and Sharp on and hardly touching the ball as Norwood drifts another floaty pass across the park

Or maybe not ...

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away....

Some are getting far, far too giddy over 1 result. Let’s not big ourselves up for an almighty fall, let’s wait for a string of good performances before backing us to rapidly climb the league.

Agree one off results mean nothing…any team can win or lose a game.
Teams have days when every chance goes in so they score 4 or 5.

Its the performance that‘s an indicator of future results….not the result.

Well…if anything the performance was better than the 6-2 win….so it’s understandable to get carried away.
We might drop points but the performances need to always be either good or great. The standard in the Championship seems quite poor.

We’ve got a nice run of (on paper) easier fixtures against PNE, Hull and Derby.
If we get at least 7 points from those 3 games confidence will have returned and our season eventually starts.

Was gonna book my ticket but just realised I'm not double or single jabbed ffs I'm glad I remembered, I'll spend it in sheff utd shop instead.

Oh ok I've been told na 😂 I was unsure get paid tommorow and I've looked online for a cheap hotel cheapest I found was 50 odd quid I think I'll give it a miss unfortunately.

You little tinker !😜

One thing that we have to do is keep the pressure on. As soon as we eased off on Saturday we allowed them to come forward. Let’s get at them from 1st to last minute.

Its something we did last time in the championship, no sitting back, no cagey performance, we don’t have to be as organised and structured as the prem and that was clearly demonstrated on Saturday…

Get into them

Should be interesting tonight Preston will be more organised than Peterborough they know what the Championship is about they have been around this division for years. We should have enough to beat them though just maybe not by 6-2
