Been on here many times but Sarbs away at West Brom after they’d battered us all match. Pesch chip came back off the bar and he nodded it in in front of the Blades fans.
I think we had Shane Nicholson sent off midway through the 2nd half ,didn't we ? Just before Xmas

Bob Atkins - In two and a half years at Bramall Lane Bob played 40 league games for United. He scored three goals, including a crucial last minute winner against Rotherham United on 21 April 1984. The two points gained from Atkins last minute winner were vital in helping Sheffield United gain promotion a few weeks later, since they ended up only getting promoted on goal difference.
Billy Sharp
Sheffield United left it late to turn their dominance into a 1-0 Sky Bet League One victory at Peterborough.
The League One table-toppers squandered a host of chances before Billy Sharp struck from point-blank range with three minutes to go for his 20th goal of the season that extended their lead at the top to five points.
Sharp pounced at the back post after strike-partner James Hanson had headed down a cross from the right. It sparked jubilant scenes among a travelling army of almost 4,000 Blades fans at the ABAX Stadium.
Me and my mate Joffrey were rammed into the away end on that day, still can see Bob bring the ball down and shoot. Memories are made of this! Then the massive crush to get out!

I was there, aged 15. I actually passed out. When I came around I was down the front - people had passed me down there somehow. Got a good view of the goal!

I too was there that day. The Railway end was packed. Probably by today's standards it was very unsafe. And when the goal went in it was bedlam. Bodies crushing together, scary but elation. How someone wasn't śeriously injured I'll never know.

But as for last minute goals, how about the one against Wigan by Edwards. Larry Lloyd had been bigging himself up about how he'd make sure Edwards would never get a sniff at goal with him marking him. And for 89 mins he didnt. Until the last minute corner we got. And Edwards lost him long enough to poke in the winner.
Jubilation all round.

Although it was 44 years ago, I remember it well and wasnt a corner :-)

John Matthews played a ball out to Colin Morris on the right wing. Morris made tracks down the wing and sent in a low cross that Edwards tapped in about 8 yards out.

Eeehhh, it seems like yesterday...

Jeff king late winner at Crewe back in the fourth division my first ever away match brilliant scenes, also Southend away probably a couple years later when Kevin arnott scored virtually the last kick of the game , blades fans on the pitch brilliant times

Memories play tricks.
My recollection was it was from a corner. But I could be wrong.

This is my memory too. I can still see it, from the Kop, like it's an action replay.

I probably went flying past you, the only time apart from Darlington Ive invaded a pitch.
Talking of Darlington, also 81/82 but not a winning goal, Keith Edwards late equaliser at Bury. Right in front of all the away fans, night match as a 14 year old it was a bloody brilliant feeling especially knowing that no one else bar my brother from our school could understand how I felt.
Bury were breathing down our necks if I remember rightly at that point ? or it may have been that Craig Madden was rivalling Edwards for the golden boot and he'd scored earlier

I remember Brian Deane's last minute winner at Bury in March 1989. After the match and applauding our players, my dad and I waited for the crowd to leave after the match as we werent in a rush to go home. We found a lot of loose coins on the terracing!

Was that when Larry Lloyd mooned at the kop? (I think it was). Also 25k there for a 4th Division game if I remember rightly!

In the away game after Rotherham, at Southend I think. I am sure Kevin Arnott got a last gasp winner.

I.may have made this up.
One of my favourite away goals and weekends ever, swapped Canvey Island for the West end half way through the night and had a great time.
