Let's not be naive. At the end of the day, money talks. Anyone in any profession with any ambition will be tempted by and will take the money if offered. It is not being disloyal. It's a matter of fact. Would you stay in your job if you were offered a 50 or 100 percent salary increase? Our strength is our manager. If we aim for the stars, then we must be prepared to reward our stars accordingly. Success breeds expectation. To maintain or improve our status, we need to spend accordingly.

Again, I repeat, we have a manager who knows when to and when not to spend.

Trust Wilder and reward him for his achievements and potential.

Indeed money talks. I have no problem with agents getting deals on the table for players but the ducking, diving and swerving when a deal is done is not acceptable. It has cost us 3 players in 1 day who wanted to play for us but their own greed has killed the moves for all concerned. It stinks.

It's a wonderful sentiment but a few months ago Huddersfield were in a comparable situation, and then they went and spent £50m.

Why because they didn't spend the David Brooks tranfser money?

The fee for Brooks is already in someone's back pocket . Come January he'll be gone on the last day and surprise surprise , it'll be too late in the window to spend any of it .
