... I had an absolutely brilliant day yesterday!!!

After all those previous Wembley/Cardiff letdowns, yesterday was everything we could have asked for...so we didn't win, so what, we were fucking ace, on and off the pitch. That's what supporting a football team is all about.

Up the Blades, fuck the fuckwits.

Loved it as well, still smiling.

Ok I cried at half time.

What's that picture from? My eyesight isn't so good, but it looks Ian Porterfield era-ish.

Me too. To take the lead once was a shock (spent several moments looking at ref/linesman not believing it was a goal), to do so a second time with such a good goal was just unbelievable and there was no restraint at all, people rolling on the floor, falling over seats, absolutely astonishing.
God knows what would happen if we actually won one of these games . . . .

The one thing I came away with yesterday above all else was "belief"

A word that's been missing for far too many seasons

The wheels are turning. The building blocks are being put in place. I believe we are on the long road to a MASSIVE recovery

We'll see

When Harry got the ball at 4-3 I actually believed we could get another. First time at Wembley I was proud how we played.

My money's on an embolism.

I can understand why you might fear the worst if we actually won one of these games, but be positive JohnDenver, we turned up, competed, and the fact that we scored 3 goals against a prem team should give us hope for the future. Yes, we need strengthening and improving, but if yesterday was necessary to prove this point, Cloughie will know what positions are priorities. We also gave them chances, so it's not as if they didn't have their luck too, so with a bit of tightening up we'll be a far better team next season. UTB

It wasn't intended to be negative. I was holding back the tears at half time - looking around me and seeing all that hope and amazement. Just saying if we held on for a victory people would be having emotional break downs, me included. :)

Oooops, my misunderstanding.

Know what you mean though, it was nail biting stuff throughout. All the pre-match 2 divisions difference stuff was wiped away by the way we played. At the end I felt so positive, simply because you could clearly see the beginnings of something happening to this club.

The key isn't Clough or the players, in my mind we have a great manager and I hope he's with us for a long, long time. It's whether the directors now realise what this club is about and what it will take to get us back to where we should be.

Glad you had a brilliant day mate UTB

It's a pennant featuring the team photo of the greatest Sheffield United team in my lifetime...Porterfield's 4th Division championship winners...greatest SUFC in my lifetime cos it 's still the ONLY team to have actually won something!!!

The pennant still hangs on a wall at home...
