Campbell should start most games as he is in form right now, but there will be games this season which are more suited to Moore than Campbell, and vice versa.

Bristol City away was one of those games where Moore was a better option than Campbell (shame he got injured that night) and it was the same with Oné when he came on, the quicker, more instinctive Campbell wasn't having much luck so we needed a big physical striker to come on and put pressure on their defence and keeper.

I don't know too much about Ipswich last season but weren't most of Moore's games being used as an impact sub off the bench, he did the same thing at Bournemouth a few times in the premier league.

They feel like opposites at the minute. One doesn't really impact the general play but does it where it counts, the other seems involved in so much but fluffs it at the big moments.

I lean Moore in games where we'll have a harder time holding the ball. Last night, on the other hand, had Campbell written all over it.

Thanks for writing down my opinion

Moore is much better as a target man with his hold up play and seems to work harder pressing their defenders.

Where as Campbell doesn’t do as much but is showing signs he could be a Premier league level finisher.

It’s a tough one but as he’s now confident in top form then surely Campbell deserves to start again.

I’d probably wait until an away game, like West Brom or Millwall before planning to give Moore a start.

The problem when Moore plays is that we play it long and i don't see why we should because Moore is very good when the ball is at his feet, he can hold it up and he can play people in, so the problem isn't with Moore it's with the tactics/mentality of the team
The problem is that we when we don't play Moore we still play it long to nobody as that's not Campbells strength. Coventry a great example, though we scored two good goals we were absolutely dire in dealing with their press at 11v11 just hoofing and letting them start again. Maybe this was a more apt approach after the sending off but ugly prior. Moore is everything you say in your post and validates a more direct long approach linking play etc and options with someone like Campbell playing off him. But then the question is who drops out ?

Campbell didn't do much for the team other than score (I know that's their job) at the beginning, but the midfield were set up for a target man.
Now we've adapted, JRS, Hamer and even O'Hare, seem to be clicking more with Campbell than they were running past Kieffer.
It's horses for courses still though because Moore brings so much to the team. We'll need them both this season and it's good that they are so different.

It'd be amazing if we could build a team around playing them both.

Friday night case in point. We could’ve done with Moore as soon as we went down to 10 pretty much, they’ll both play their part in their own way this season. Still prefer Campbell as first choice.

They're both bottom to mid table Championship strikers. Campbell had a little purple patch...then he got injured. He's not a prolific goal scorer and over the course of a season will be more miss than hit. Moore, completely different player but same again, his hold up play isn't bad but doesn't really fit into our style of play. We're much better when we move the ball on the floor at pace, not lumping it up to a big man.

I've seen mention of BBD returning and it's a definite no from me. He's one of those who runs about a lot but isn't good enough to perform well over a season. Kind of like Campbell really.

If we're serious and the Yanks have some cash we need better than journeymen footballers.

Who you suggesting Saka?

Haha, no he falls down too much for me. Seriously though, I honestly don't know, but I'm hoping Wilders list has better players than the 3 mentioned above.
Yeah think we are on the same page here. Honestly think CW cant pick strikers.

Campbell ok but sadly very injury prone. I mean if past performance anything to go by 10 goals each per season for Moore/Campbell. It is tosh seeing Woody would get 20+

Ahh where are Deane, Agana and Edwards when you need them. Maybe bring Billy back after motorised bionic leg transplants.

Eh

I don't understand that statement

Campbell is a perfectly talented forward. Unfortunately like said above he’s always injured.

BBD’s goal record in this division speaks for itself. How is 50 goals in 150 games a purple patch? 🤣
