If we actually re-invested you’d just go to a 4-3-3/4-5-1 and sign a couple genuine wingers, 1 loan and 1 permanent. Peck - Phillips - Arblaster midfield 3 with Rothwell & Riedewald pushing them. Chong could play in a 3 too. Key point being you simply cannot sell O’Hare without reinvesting properly and it doesn’t seem like we will.

The ironic thing is the amount of belly aching Wednesday fans did. We’ve sold Brooks, Hamer, both far superior players historically in this division than Gassama and Musaba and we could be about to sell O’Hare.

Remember they had wall to wall phone ins when they actually had to sell like a proper club for once.

If I remember correctly Ndiaye was off to Barnsley before Wilder left 2nd time, was Hecky that bled him through then it was Jokanovic's first bit of work to get him on a new deal. He would've gone 100% if Wilder never left. Not saying Sidibe is anything close to Illi but can see something similar there

I also think Peck-Phillips-Burrows might be interesting.

That’s if we went 4-3-3.

Cannon potentially misses out but it still looks quite strong.

I feel a bit resigned to him going now. Really enjoyed his play and his personality. Over 7m is bound to get our Board salivating, plus the way he arrived, he must be one of the top earners unless we gave him a lump sum.

Well maybe I’m being a little down on him but it’s hard to feel positive about anything united right now.

He won’t lose his duals or 50/50’s and won’t be dribbled past easily.

He just isn’t creative or dynamic in any way. Seriki gives us a powerful runner who is willing to try and beat a man 1 on 1 and get balls into the box.

Choudhury is more like a Gilchrist at right back. Someone who won’t cross the half way line all the often and won’t be making many key passes.

He won’t turnover possession easily or badly but we do already have a lot of players capable of passing sideways and backwards and very few capable of seeing the killer forward pass.

He adds availability to the team, solidity but doesn’t address something we seriously lack in terms of creativity.

These owners, they’re putting in fuck all aren’t they? They got a little bit giddy that first window but as soon as they didn’t get the immediate outcome they wanted they’ve just fucked it up and given up.
