The likes of Egan/Norwood/Bash/Baldock coming off the wage budget would almost certainly have freed up enough cash. Then you've got people like Wes/Lowe etc. on top of that.

I'd expect us to be aiming for an overall lower wage bill compared to last season simply as a result of relegation, but the players that have left will have created an enormous surplus to work with when it comes to agreeing terms with new signings.

I get that all the players leaving frees up wages, but in reality I’m not sure that it does?

We were in the PL, we’re now in the championship. I guess the wage bill has to come down to suit lower revenue streams, especially as the rumours are we have little money to spend and already taking out two charges against future para payments sort of indicates that imo

Just to add, El Accounto now saying that’s it after O’Hare. WTF that means’s when we still need about 8 new signings I don’t fkin know? Perhaps as others say, no more permanent signings, only loans?

I meant that I’m surprised we as a club have stumped up the cash right now with the ownership issue. I presumed bigger deals like this (which sounds like it’s a hefty signing on fee for the lad) would be done when the takeover was completed and we’ve had a cash injection

Same, I didn’t think we had a chance with O’Hare. The team is slowly starting to take shape now. I still think a keeper should be a top priority and hoping we can get the lad from Plymouth.
