I’m just following the logic. As I’ve said there’s no logical explanation as to why the ownership or club would want to have a false rumour out there, so there’s definitely something happening.
Again, logically, that would be impacting deals and decisions being made that would result in multi-million pound commitments, which has also been reported.

Again, there’s no logical argument that holds water as to why that wouldn’t be challenged if it isn’t the case.

Maybe the owner wants any potential buyer to think there are others interested. He keeps quiet whilst the club has neither knowledge nor authority to enable it to comment.

While burning the season and significantly reducing the price of his asset in the process? That doesn’t make sense, additionally he’s already got Lazard to do that, so he’s paying them and doing their work for them.

Nope, doesn’t stand up to any scrutiny.
 
good player but not in same class as hamer besides we need bigger more physical types in midfield its a no from me

The asset is only reducing if the price is not already agreed.
Our problem is we have no realistic idea as to whether there is a buyer and if so where the transaction has progressed to, whether there is more than one, or whether there are none !
We can all have fun guessing or even pretending we know but I just don’t feel anything is about to happen. If there is a genuine buyer about to proceed I will, for once, be delighted to be proved wrong !

But your whole approach here is that there is no bid and it’s a smokescreen. Therefore the asset is reducing in worth by your own definition above.

I just don’t think there is a deal about to happen. I may well be wrong.

The club is not the entity who can or should comment, if indeed it has any idea of what is going on.
Most Championship clubs haven’t made any significant signings and are unlikely to do so until contracts in general have expired on 30/6.
We can all get wrapped up in guessing, so perhaps we should just concentrate on something other than football.

You'd assume he'd be going to a team who are favourites to challenge at the top of the Championship or may just have done enough to get a look in at a lower end PL team. Hamer's success at the end of last season might have been good for him? Maybe teams down there will look at him as a lower cost option, give him 2/3 years and if it doesn't work out you can probably sell him to a relegated team

It's the exact sort of player I'd have hoped United would have gone after last summer
 
A longstanding friend who is not a Blade just messaged our group chat made up of blades and grunters that we have signed in his words " a greasy slicked back haired lad from Coventry" amongst others He did name his source but I dont know the source and whether he has a strong connection to the club. Might be boll*x but he's not one to normally speculate on transfer stuff
 
That's a downer. Probably means we aren't signing Joe Worrall, Callum Doyle or Michael Cooper either then. Oh well I was quite excited for a moment.
