Callum O’Hare

Nothing new here, but have to agree with others... He works tirelessly without the ball. And he's always an option when we have it.
He contributes a lot.

I expected more from him quality wise. I wanted a guy that could take it on the turn, beat a man in possession and even offer a goal-threat.. he hasn't really shown any of that.
But he's busy and seems to make things happen. He just about deserves his shirt. I still think there's more to come with him. I've seen him play much better for Coventry.

A few weeks ago I posted that I was disappointed with ohare called him a poor man's grealish and even joked about his little shin pads.

Have to say he's totally won me over in the last month or so. Tireless busy player and no shortage of skill.

Very happy to stand corrected!

Likewise, reflecting on my post a few up.. glad to see he's starting to show his quality on the ball a bit more now.

His workrate at the top of the pitch has become invaluable.

I think most have been critical, for me his last 2 months have improved quite a bit. What’s his position ? Im unsure as he roams along the front 2 lines. Well done Callum.

Hopefully some of the posters who keep criticising him have seen what he brings today. Tireless running and quality at key times. Yes he gives the ball away but that can happen when you actually try and progress the ball up the pitch, others give it away less but influence the game much less as well.

Not a Brewster basher by any stretch but the fact that Ohare was pressing and running beyond Brewster the final 30 mins after playing the whole game speaks volumes about the work the lad puts in. Deserves some serious credit for that alone.

Capped with a good assist, could’ve been two as well if peck had scared late on but he was fucked. Amazed me made it into the box to receive the pass

I'm glad to see he's finally starting to earn his money, long may it continue! Just needs a shit hot gosl scorer alongside him instead of Moor/Oné.

I think Brewster consciously sat deeper the last 10 mins, he actually did some good work in our box.

Brewster was playing deeper when we lost Hamer

Not saying he didn’t. He won a couple of crucial headers and made some good clearances

As I said, im not a Brewster basher, I just thought it was amazing how O’Hare was still the most energetic in the press despite being the one who had been on the pitch for 60 mins longer.

Brewster played his part just fine. But Ohares engine is incredible

Yeah I didn’t think you were bashing, I think he’s shit but he did well defensively when he came on today.

For a player whose career has been defined by consistent injury problems, it feels like he has been running and pressing non-stop since August.

Just don't tell O'Hare how much bigger Brewster's pay packet is or he will want a big pay rise. O'Hare is invaluable he laps all our players. The opposition must hate him.

Great performance again today . Absolute senior pro performance after Hamer went off . His work rate and harrying opponents lifted everyone's energy levels

O’Hare had a relatively slow start to his blades career. But everyone with an understanding of football knew he was doing decent. Since November he’s really stepped up and been of our best and most consistent players.

Excellent recruitment. Always seems to be available too.

Big fan of his right from the start. Works his absolute socks off every game and has quality to go with it too.

Another assist today and played a massive part in us holding on for the win.
Indeed ! I love the energy he brings to the team, his balance, and his subtle, disguised movements enabling him to provide killer passes to give strikers chances.

I was really critical of him at the start of the season, however he runs his bollocks off every game, chasing and closing down and has really impressed me.
I think that there is more to come from him in an attacking sense, and still think that he occasionally has a tendency to chase shadows.
Can’t deny his heart, commitment and desire. Hope he gets a much needed and well deserved rest for the cup.
