So OK, I accept that I can't buy them online even though I have a ST there. But if the reason is that they want to monitor who's getting tickets in the family stand, how come there were groups of lads, with no junior in sight sitting there yesterday?

Because they have all bought Junior tickets themselves?

I use the term lads very loosely, in their thirties I would say, the ones near us. Or are you saying they intentionally bought juniors tickets knowing they weren't?

You can buy them as long as it's before the deadline for ST holders to claim their own seats.

As for the lads, dunno. Perhaps they were ST holders on there or the stewards didn't do the job of checking concession tickets properly.

It used to happen a lot on there. The stewards are supposed to be watching out for it but some will always get through

Edit.

What Linz said ^^^^^^

What online?
Never seen them before, sat immediately in front of me which aren't usually occupied and were effing and blinding all game, until I pointed out they were in the family stand and hold back a bit on the language.

Had same problem, you are automatically drawn to select the stand and the Family stand is not there so that non ST holders can't buy online.

However, if you are a ST holder ignore the "select stand" stand boxes and go to the top "Tickets" drop down menu. Then click "Reserved Cup Tickets" and your ST tickets will be listed if it's before the cut off date. You will be charged a one off £1 online fee. Hope this helps.

As for older people in the stand - we had 2 Adult and 2 child tickets from the beginning of the Family Stand being relocated there (must be at least 15 years ago). We have kept those seats and my sons are now 27 and 31. Provided we keep renewing we keep the same seats even though we are all adults. Many of our friends sit around us with grown up kids as well.

Thanks for the info, sorted out earlier by Linz. Re Adults in family stand, we too were relocated when new John Street stand was opened and sat there with no kids until our grand kids started going. As you say, we have made friends over the years too which is really why we still sit there
