No.

“For me you can never get enough players who can unlock a defence and Duffy is one of them.”

And a few had different thoughts on him
The one about him giving the ball to the opposition, trying to beat his man 2 or 3 times, can be frustrating
Those all could have been said about JCR
Hopefully hes a lot better

Wingers innit..JCR rarely had the end product that could unlock defences...plenty of the other though...

Wingers are temperamental, and who do we expect to sign in L1 that isn't? As it is we've signed someone who his fellow pro's voted in the team of the year for this division last season...the same cant be said of JCR. I've certainly not seen any comments about 'crosses end up in the stands more often than the box' either.

Is anyone surprised that the form of player who Nigel clough had taken an arbitrary dislike too (mentioned he wasn't happy about 3 people travelling from Liverpool) suffered slightly.

Are we likely to be signing the other two? If I research Burton's squad from last season quick enough, I could become ITK.

Or I could just go to bed......

“Duffy spent the last 10 or so games giving the ball to the opposition and holding on to the ball too long.”

clough making his mark.

If I want to form a view about a player I'll go and watch him, not read what fucking Burton (or any other) fans think...

Roy spends a lot of time and effort in collating fans view for the forum , which are both interesting and informative . Yes we all make up our own opinions , which makes football a love / hate sport.

Give Roy some respect Pinchy , he deserves it.

Unfortunately some are denied that pleasure Pinchy I for one appreciate reports and opinions on here. Nothing like seeing with your own eyes, but invaluable to us escapees.

Can't agree there.

Search "_______ FC Forum" on Google.

A lot of time/effort? Still a great feature don't get me wrong

FFS man, are you trying to piss Roy off?

I for one couldn't be arsed to do that for every game/player and I suspect that neither could you.

If you genuinely think it is a 'great feature' why not just say so and cut out the smart arse remarks about how 'easy' it is?

I did have a feeling that might be misconstrued.

I was disagreeing with someone claiming it takes lots of effort.

Doesn't stop it being a good feature. Not everything's sinister y'know.

If that was the case it may well have been worth not posting then.

Completely agreed, hence my desire not to wind Roy up unnecessarily.

Spat over.....nothing to see here......move along now.......

I don't understand why not? They're not going to miraculously become better in the air, quicker at running, or even much better technically (bear in mind these lads are 28-30 so in their prime now). I actually think it's rare that these "views from" don't give a very accurate foresight on how the players/managers departing end up performing for us.

Read the Hussey and Duffy comments, a real mixed bag. Neither offer a complete pouring of outcry about losing these two. Both sets of fans acknowledge their attacking contributions and ability to provide/assist goals, whilst both also acknowledge several faults. If we're winning games and scoring goals I imagine we'll be delighted with what these two are bringing, but if it's not going to plan then we'll be bemoaning their negative traits. Neither sound good enough for the Championship, but we're not there so it's a moot point.
