Depends what they get for the other guy.

If they get 25m for the other guy we should be along for 15m and accepting no less than 10m + add ons.

He’s either good enough to replace a 25m player or he isn’t. He’s certainly not a 5m player if they think he’s good enough to replace him.

Can't see much more than £6m or £7m personally....maybe him and Peck in a double deal would get £20m?
According to FLW hes made 87 appearances with 10 goals and 7 assists. No matter what some think of his defensive attributes those numbers are good for a midfielder nbwe mind a defender. With the amount of money West Ham have banked so far plus if they sell Douif we should be looking for more than what we got for Brooks and probably considerably more.

Yeah but Burrows is shit. I read it on here

signing 2 wingers and mcallum ready to come back in suggests were selling burrows and sticking with a back 4

Does it mean we keep Peck? I'm fine with this if so, as much as I rate HB - Peck has a higher ceiling

What would you do if you went in the pub, played the fruit machine, hit the jackpot, and then were told your next pint will cost double as you clearly have money to spend? And why would it be to say fuck off?

Two very different situations - footballers are fluctuating commodities, so you can be more flexible on price depending on outside forces

No chance, West Ham have got to clear £100m just to fill the hole in the finances. Most of the outgoings will be used to cover this, I’m not surprised their being linked with cheaper mid table championship players like ours.

Fucking hell, how fucked are they according to Wednesday fans then? We need to sort 30mil and that means we're tapdancing on the liquidation trap door!

That’s his major problem as a winger he is excellent but as what he is supposed to be either LWB or LB he is terrible he might have scored 10 but how many have we conceded due to him being out of position and the LCB having to cover which then opens up our defence

Not against Burrows going, time to see if Jili can make the step up to challenge McCallum.
The fact that Jili wasn't involved against Halifax suggests he's not in the plans.

Shame really, I'd have loved to have seen him and Seriki running at the opposition full backs for 90 minutes.

So he plays as a winger, to his strength. We either need him for that or we don't. CW needs to make his mind up.

I think if there is a good offer on the table for a chunk more than what we paid for him then he will go.

I dont know how many exactly have we conceded due to him being out of position you tell me? Is it any more than we've conceded cus Tanganga and McGuiness arent good enough? Is it more than we've conceded because Seriki has been out of position?

Rightly or wrongly there's a perception thst hes no good at defending but where are the numbers? If you add the 17 goal involvements back in id bet he shows up at the top of our defenders "net goal involvements"

Its not a perception about his defending. You just have to watch him. He tucks in far too close to the centre halves, conceding too much space. He then shows no urgency to close down that space. He dangles a leg out instead of really trying to stop a cross. He gets caught out of position when we lose the ball. He is pathetic in the air and physically weak. Numbers can hide many deficiencies.

Yep and that's why West Ham want to sign him? What are they seeing that we aren't as i dont really disagree that he doesn't look great defending. They have also seen that so will they play him left midfield (doubtful as there are better left midfielders around) do they think they can coach him better? do they think he will be better with better CBs?

I dont know the answer and maybe the answer is they arent interested in him !

best keep him good squad player who nearly scored that great winner at wembly, what a goal that could have been!

Shame as Jili always delivers under pressure…

Burrows is a wing back; a very good one at Championship level. If you play him as a full back his lack of height, physical strength and pace becomes an issue. You also don't benefit as much from his passing and interplay as much (a strength), and his relative lack of pace becomes more of an issue - he has to cover more ground to get forward from deeper positions and then back with less support.

The wing back position helps to cover these things up; when he plays full back he's too preoccupied with what's coming behind him, not getting caught too far forward or getting done by a big diag to a taller, stronger opponent. This is the reason he's often too deep and narrow. I think he has two years left so it may be the Ideal time to get maximum value if we are continuing with a back four.

I think a lot of clubs don't actually watch players enough. Its only when you watch them regularly that you realise their strengths and weaknesses. Also, clubs just make bad signings.

This would be a terrible move by us. One of our best young players who will improve and kick on. Disappointing last season but they all were. McCallum rightly ahead of him but Burrows potential is far higher. Any replacement would obviously not be as good. Feels like we're just downgrading across the squad 😔

Hes not gone yet George, cheer up !

I think he would be a better player as a winger, still helping out in defence but not a designated role. We've seen what he can and can't do. Personally I like to see him stay and play that role.
