Does no one else think that the 'budget' rumour could just be an attempt to try and prevent clubs from wanting us to pay stupid amounts for a player?

If the board came out and said that Wilder gets £10m to spend in January then teams will just want even more money for their players. Southend will want in excess of £1m for Leonard

Of course the budget may be true, but how come have we never been told what the budget is however all of a sudden we are being told nearly everything that goes on at the club? Some things just aren't for the fans to know... for example, the budget

What we all have to remember is and this may be the wrong expression, we are in I think a false position to where we all expected to be there are a lot of people getting really excited about promotion "but financially are we ready " just let them get on with it if we go up then we cross that bridge when we get to it, I for one don't want us to end up like our massive neighbours or noblot by bankrupting the club

I think he's referencing the latest factmour that CW has only £2m to spend including wages.

I wonder if whoever leaks this info from the boardroom knows who posts it on social media or if they tell that many people they don't have a clue.

The thought had crossed my mind that it's smoke and mirrors.

However, past custom and practice shows McCabe has neither the funds at this level or the bottle to go for it. Don't get me wrong, I don't want or expect tens of millions to be used on money grabbing Prima Donna's but solid investment in a man who's been successful rather than pay millions to get rid of failures appointed by McCabe.
