You're better off using a dedicated IRC chat client. If you use Firefox, then there is a very good plug-in called Chatzilla for Internet Relay Chat.

Alternatively, you can visit http://www.sorcery.net and click on the "Chat Now" link at the top.

When you arrive at that page, entire your desired nickname and, in the "Channel" field, enter #sufc.
