watched this tonight and on that showing the Baggies as favs don’t look as good as Wolves or Fulham last season
Brum have Jota who ran us ragged at end of last season and look as though they have a lot of quick players so will be a tough one on Wednesday night

watched most of it - thought WB were better although Brum had their moments.

Not troubled by what brum have got to offer for next Wednesday - they play the type of football that's easily beatable - as long as we're "at it", which seems to be CW's new phrase. If we play our A game - it's no danger.

WB on the other hand look quite decent - especially going forward. be a tough game when we meet them.

Bristol first though - been a long bloody wait

A lot of quick players that couldn’t hit a barn door tonight. Just our luck that they’ll fix that problem within a week.

Darren Moore was a sentimental rather than sensible choice for WBA manager.

They should piss this league but may not do so.

I thought they were both comical at the back at times. Gave it away so many times, spooned it out of play loads, fucked up clearances constantly, generally bad play.

Birmingham seemed to create more, but West Brom are more dangerous mainly due to Phillips.

Adams missed a sitter.

All that said, watch them beat us 1-0 haha

Birmingham are going to be very hard to beat at St Andrews. They should've won that game, same with the other Sky game v Swansea.

West Brom have good players but haven't got it together as a team. That back 3 is very impressive but the balance isn't right, and they're all more suited to being part of a back 4.

They're also not connected properly in midfield. Not enough support for the man on the ball and no natural playmaker. They should've signed Ryan Woods.

If we play like we did in the first half against Villa we'll win way more than we lose and be contenders for automatic.

Obviously the question is, can we?

Asking too much in my opinion to keep up that level of excellence, but we have it ' in our locker ' as the saying goes, and I don't mind a few scruffy wins and draws along the way.

Since Wilder and Knill arrived and showed a level of commitment and professionalism ( and love of Peroni ) I've been more relaxed and prepared to take it as it comes than I have for many a year.

Agree, I’m always fairly calm too.
Think it’s because, no one can gaurantee a result, good luck and bad luck can play a part.
However SU can gaurantee a high and consistent level of entertainment.
We always give 100% and always play a good/ attractive passing game.
It’s great going to matches knowing you’ll get your monies worth.

Yep remember how wank Fulham were until we turned up, or more specifically CCV, that was the 'on' switch for them.

Exactly, I'm not in the first flush of youth to put it mildly and unfortunately don't believe I'll live to see us ever win anything other than the odd promotion.

But you know what, it doesn't really matter in the great scheme of things, all I ask is that the team I support give it a go.

If we lose battling against a better team well at least we went down fighting and will have taken some enjoyment from the game.

If we lose unluckily when we were the better team well that's the way it goes sometimes and it has to be lived with.

What I can't live with is a mediocre, going through the motions lack of commitment and interest in the club that summed up the Adkins era.

Wilder and Knill have virtually eliminated that ' don't give a shit as long as the moneys OK ' attitude from the club and I'm happy with that.

Obviously from the perspective of the rest of the supporters I would really love some success, but for me personally I'm as 'appy' as I've been with the Blades for some time.

Completely agree. Birmingham outplayed Swansea for a large portion of that and should've really been out of sight. Should be a good test for us on Wednesday. At home though, I still fancy us for the 3.

As far as WBA go, Moore got them playing some decent stuff in the final few games of last season and got the players believing. To be fair, any manager coming in after Pardew was always going to get a decent reception. It's early days, but they've kept the bulk of their squad and I imagine they'll be there or round-abouts come May.

Wouldn’t mind playing either, Birmingham look awful in front of goal and West Brom awful at the back. We’ll finish above both of them

That’s jinxed it for Wednesday ...
