Even a Brooks like nutmeg just before the 2 minutes mark

Laudrup was a genius and probably underrated when the list of all time greats is made.
If Brooks gets close to his quality then he'll have a fantastic career. Needs to start adding goals as that's the obvious area for development for me

In terms of his style of running and the way he glides past players with the ball I can definitely see the comparisons with a young Waddle.

If he turns out to be half as good as Waddle was at his peak then we'll have some player, because it has to be said that Waddle was a magnificent player.

I dont get how he can slide on his knees and then spring back to his feet and get back on the ball. Excellent to watch and a real boost to the mighty Blades.

It would be a bare table if he was asked to put his medals on it.

The similarities with Giggs are there, born in England, represented England as a youth, and then switched to Wales. Predominantly left footed but also good with his right, glides at pace past players as though they are invisible, etc !

Giggs wasn't born in England and never represented England. He played for England schoolboys because he went to school in England.

Giggs was born in Wales and was always going to play for Wales.

The style of play I agree with though :)

On here he’s Giggs, when I speak about him on Twitter he’s the new Darren Anderton ;)

Ferguson on Giggs:
"I remember the first time I saw him. He was 13 and just floated over the ground like a cocker spaniel chasing a piece of silver paper in the wind."

I'm not sure I'd go that doe-eyed when discussing a footballer but he certainly has that Giggs grace and balance about him, if not quite the same pace. If he works hard and keeps progressing he's going to be some player. If he adds goals to his game he is going to be world class.

Scored and got an assist yesterday against Burnley, hes on the right track....

I think he’ll be much better than Kingsley.... And Tommy for that matter.

David Brooks style of movement with the ball is one of almost lazy gracefulness which naturally gifted players tend to have. The ability to predict a manoeuvre without consciously thinking about it and do it without fear of failure is born in certain sportsmen which stands them above others. Keith Edwards was once asked what made him a natural goal scorer of goals compared to other strikers. His answer was simple in that he wasn't afraid of missing. He never thought of missing the target and if he did miss a goal it never bothered him. The same in some respect can be said of David Brooks. He's naturally gifted with running with a football and not afraid of losing possession. Look at the world's greatest players over the last 15-20 years and they all posess the same style of running with a ball which at times looks effortless and David Brooks is certainly in that mould.

Hold onto your hats because this young talent is something special and born to entertain.

Similarly, there are players who seem to show some of those qualities at a young age but never develop the other side of their game to become the top players they should be.

Ravel Morrison & Febian Brandy are just two that immediately spring to mind. I hope (and believe) that Brooks won’t fall into that category though.

Under the guidance of Chris Wilder & Alan Knill? Only time will tell.

Be tempting if the scousers come in Jan with £30m for the 20 yr old "Ryan Giggs" . Good that he is I don't think he is the most important for the team - Coutts, Fleck, Jack, Bash losing any of them will costs us promotion but Brooksy maybe Duffy covers his position well enough.

He is our future, this club will never truly advance if we are to keep selling the future.
