Tie him into a 5 year contract and £250 a week now.

Think he recently signed a 1 year extension taking him to Summer 2019.
This means he’s not in the final year of his contract this season, so no urgency or panic to sell him this year.

Really can’t see him being sold in the JTW, even if it’s a £15 million bid because his price is likely to rise further next season where we still have the option to cash in.

Think we need to get promoted this season because next season we are likely to accept any big offer
Because the alternative would be letting Brooks leave for nothing at the end of the 2018-19 season.

If someone offers £15m for Brookesy i'll wrap him in bubblewrap, carry him where he needs to be, give him a lolly and pat him on the head. Just imagine what Wilder could get done with £15m.

Come in lads.
£50 a week board.
£32 a month iphone 7.
£50 bus pass.
£50 on maccy Ds.

Got loads left.
Please show me where I can get an iPhone 7 for £32 a month!! :p
I reckon an iPhone 8 would clinch the deal!

I bloody wouldn't. 15 million is pocket money for prem teams now and he would be worth double that within 12 months of leaving.

Not sure what makes you think Wilder would get all that money either. Certainly not based on past sales.

I think it’s the first time I’ve ever heard that from a United manager. It’d be fantastic if the board say the same thing and back him up.

Absolutely Gray and why shouldn't they

I'm hoping that if this is the case, they back it up with a longer and better contract so that at least we hold all the cards should the vultures come swooping in

If true Brooksy places playing football as the most important thing for him right now, then I'm guessing we have a good chance of him agreeing to stay for longer

Board don't have much choice now Gray, unless they want to publicly go against their manager's wishes! Not a likely scenario. Get your retaliation in before it's needed - always a good tactic.

Better than the usual "we can't stand in his way".

If he does go this sort of defiant message shows clubs they need a serious bid to tempt him.

Think it's been said else where but 1 plus is Brooks has experienced a premier league set up. He may chose to continue his footballing development with is with regular 1st team action.

The question is, would we get a better player? No matter what the fee. And I don't think we would. If he's this good at 19 what is he going to be like when he's got another few years in his back and a bit more brawn about him? I'd hold onto him and let him establish us in the Premiership then sell him when he's got about 3 years left in him.

1st August,v Hallam fc,pre-season
less than two months later,a full international call-up

That's exactly what McCabe will be thinking after it's "disappeared", like the rest of the cash over the years!

Soccer AM Megnut of the week, David Brook's. He won a T shirt as well.
