Srappy game little quality from either side. A point a piece just about right.
Ertl caught out early and Reading nearly scored with header, which i think Simmo just tipped on to post. That was about it for first half. We had as many chances probably as them with Yeates running at them quite well and shooting reasonably.
Second half Lowton on for Jordan who looked as though he would get skinned by their right winger.
Lowton showed a bit of inexperience at first but got a little better as half went on.
All in all not much quality from either side and probably the worst performance at home since MA came in. I really dont conform to the view on these type of games that says we were lucky to get a point after they scored because that is football and for example against Leicester we totally outplayed them and got nowt.
Most frustrating player at mo is Yeates. Attacking wise he has got a little better and now runs at people which is surely what we want. His defending is marginally better but his awareness of danger seems to be non existant and recovery runs are always wrong.
Ertl did a reasonable job for a midfield man at centerback.
Doyle - I like him because he gets forward and is not afraid to have a shot, something we have not had for a while from there.
Parrino - not as good as he has been.
Simmo - did well and got great support from the crowd.
Willo - quite poor really today
Quinn - probably best player on pitch won loads of balls he souldn't have and any he lost he won back or worked the right side of the ball. They were constantly fouling Quinn because again like against Milwall he was too quick for them. Make no mistake he is playing really well at the moment.
Cresswell - I thought picked up his game being given the captaincy, great workrate was beaten to headers by their centerback but never gave anything free and made it difficult constantly for them, threw himself at a chance again in the last minutes that no one else would have gone for.
Collins - a little scarey at times but always my choice above Nossy.
Boggy - makes so much difference, holds ball up when required, runs at people well and does all you would like of him.
Riise - Wow first touch brill we may have a real gem here.
Volkes - neither impressive or unimpressive, i would suggest a better choice than Bent though.

I find it astounding that anyone would think a point each was a fair reflection.

Even our manager in a refreshing bit of honesty thought so.

We were totally outplayed for long periods by a side I enjoyed watching when they broke forward. Simmo had a very good game and I thought the linesman got a couple of decisions badly wrong in 2nd half which helped us massively - especially the Kebe one at 1-0 when broke down the left wing.

I've been pretty confident of staying up but watching that last night it's hard to maintain that. 2 points is nothing though, draw Saturday and I think we'll beat Scunthorpe somehow.

Really?

You are the first person I've come across since the game who didn't think we were second best for just about the whole 90 minutes.
Thought Simmo was easily our best player which is usually indicative of the other side having a few more pops on goal than us.

give over, we were outplayed and out thought. I found it very refreshing to watch a team who kept their width. Unfortunately it ripped my insides out that we were so inept. Honest Micky tried to get Yeates to keep his width but he ignored him. Really bad feeling that we are going to have to rely on the players and not the tactical genius of our manager to keep us up.

Think thats pretty much right. They offered no real quality. if i was a fan of theirs, I'm sure i'd think it was scrappy.
Doyle had a glorious chance to head for goal near the end but decided to head back across that was a real let off for them.

If anyone wants to solve any financial problems they might have, if Scunny haven't won a home game by next Tuesday, there ought to be several hundred Sheffield houses bet on the natural outcome.

If reading are quality whats that say about this Division?
The points you made about players were very good. A point well won.
