Disapointing as it was for another defeat its a world away from most of what we've seen.
Every player deserves praise today with a slight reservation to Yeates- too lightweight.
The team playing long ball 1st half was Norwich. Variation from our players going forward.
Quite a lot of half chances 1st half for us very little for Norwich.
central midfield controlled by Monty and Quinn outstanding.
Ched evans like a man possessed - derserved his goal and a great strikers finish.
I still believe we were the better team in the second half. Norwich do know how to play gamesmanship (cheat).
Work rate and tempo fantastic Lowry looked confident and Parrino looking very relaxed at most situations.
Just heard MA while writing and he feels that both Norwich goals were fouls- Im too far away to see.
Monty seems to be growing more with each game in to the Captains role, the tempo of this type of game suits him.
As with the Villa game it has to turn round with performances like that.
If the worst happens and we have played like that till the end, then mostfans would still support MA for the Job.

Aye, not too much wrong. Very high tempo and good football in the first half. I think the lack of fitness Adams has referred to was evident 2nd hald and we fell away a bit.

Very unlucky to lose, though it looked to me that Simmo flapped again, and I thought Mattock was pants today. Hopefully that was an off day because it wasn't good enough. Quinn and Monty played well in the middle, however hard Pinchy will argue otherwise.

Defence & keeper far too weak for both their goals - we've got to deal with crosses better than that. We played well in the 1st half & ok in the 2nd apart from the goals - but even when on top we didn't test their keeper enough. I thought Evans was MOM. Lowry looked solid. Bent did a few nice lay offs but never looked like scoring. Unfortunately Mattock looked very poor.

Forgot about Mattock and my lad did mention in the game he thought he was not doing too well.

Simonsen - yet again, out of his depth. He may have been nudged on the first but should have been stronger. The second showed he isn't strong enough.
Parrino - is impressing me. You can see inexperience and maybe not the finished article in him but he is getting better with every game.
Mattock - am reserving judgment for now. Needs to get forward more.
Bartley - will be an excellent defender in time. Improving every month. Pity he has been surrounded by clowns for much of his time here. Solid today against a difficult opponent.
Lowry - liked the look of him. Didn't think he did much wrong. Looks a young version of Morgan.
Monty - actually played well but when we were under pressure it was down to him giving the ball away time after time after time. Frustrating.
Quinn - not for me. We need someone in there with Monty and Quinn isn't the answer. Appears to be brainless.
Cresswell - not for me either. I hope MA has a left winger on his shopping list. I'd keep Cressy for the bench to throw on but he's a shadow of the player of last season.
Ward - he's lightning quick, why does he never attack a full back?
Evans - best performance in a red and white shirt, did not deserve to lose. Took his goal well. Good things happen when he gets in the box.
Bent - first half, did well. Faded second half. Needs to get fit, train with Ched and maybe there could be something there.

Yeates - I defend him but he was awful today. Looked to be sulking after losing his place in recent games. He lost ball which led to the corner that led to the second Norwich goal too.
Bogdanovich - came on, never got a touch, was outside the box most of the time. Never looked like he would score a goal.
Kozzy - right wing? To launch the throw ins? Come off it, Micky.

Didn't deserve to lose, referee was awful, linesman on South Stand side was worse, must deal with set pieces better.

I thought bringing Kozluck on for the long throws was exactly the right thing to do at that time.

I thought the midfield looked good in the first half and I'm not a fan of the Quinn and Monty pairing, but it worked. Second half they seemed to drop off their players and give them more time on the ball. Not sure if this was tactical or a lack of concentration. In the second half Quinn very rarely looked up before passing and the same could be said about Wardy.

Thought Lowery looked pretty solid, but Mattock didn't read the game very well and a bit slow to react. Does anyone know if he's been playing regular football?

SS was again too indecisive. Disappointing result, but a good (especially 1st half) performance.

We're in the thick of it at the bottom, but we matched the canaries man for man. Neutrals wouldn't have been able to tell which team was at the top or bottom of the league on that display. We were unlucky today (another wank ref ) but no fear, our first win under MA is just around the corner. P.S We are not missing Notworthy one bit.

A Leicester-supporting mate of mine was full of praise for Mattock - seemingly their bright hope a few years back, but by the sounds of it his development didn't really go to plan at WBA.

A left-back that impressed me today was Leyton Orient's Charlie Daniels - a mate thats an Orient fan asked me along to the game. Daniels was solid, looked good going forward too. Horror show for W*****day - missed chances in the first half and imploded defensively 2nd half, a joy to watch as Orient looked a mediocre side with Matthew Spring pulling the strings. What with the 4-1 United win I saw there a couple of years ago in my only other visit, seems a lucky ground.

Excellent performance in the first 25 minutes or so and good for the rest of the game as well, thought our only sloppy spell was just after we equalised. Loads of positives today.

Simonsen - Think he cost us the game with a couple of weak flaps - if he goes in more positively he's more likely to get a foul. Really liked him during his spell last season but doesn't look the same keeper this term.

Parrino - Very good in possession and doing well at full back, don't think that's his natural position.

Bartley - Just a top man, probably deserves his own thread.

Lowry - Really encouraging start. Looked comfortable at this level.

Mattock - Poor for the most part, gave the ball away too much. Looks to be a strong lad though.

Ward - Big villain for me. Cheated us today, didn't do his tracking back job and hid at times. When he was on the ball seemed to be looking for a wonder pass instead of doing the simple things. Amazed he wasn't withdrawn.

Quinn - Did well not to kill the fat cheating pig under severe provocation. Passing wasn't quite there but, as always, wanted to get on the ball and got in some good positions. Unfairly treated by our crowd, his mistakes draw more criticism than anyone elses. Was at Old Trafford the other week (work freebie - not out of choice) and it was the same with Carrick there - as a neutral I thought he did well but people had clearly decided he was shit before the match and wanted confirmation they were right.

Montgomery - Very good for 70 minutes, passing went a bit astray after that. Looked like a captain and ball retention was mainly good. As usual, got in the opposition box a lot. I always laugh when people describe him as a holding midfielder as he's genuinely box to box (albeit with a limited contribution when he gets there)

Cresswell - Not too threatening but his workrate has picked up under Adams.

Bent - Superb in the opening 20. Going to be a huge asset. Strong in the air, good touch. Evans must be delighted he's joined.

Evans - Excellent performance rewarded with a much deserved goal. I don't think he's a player transformed because I've always liked him. Think he'll manage 15 goals this season which is a decent effort and something to build on for next season. Scored more than much heralded pigs Morrison and Mellor and at a higher level. Saw the benefit of Alan Cork at the free kick when he ended up drawing a great save from their excellent 'keeper. He made a run to the near post, held his head in his hands, hurled abuse at the taker and then slunk off to the far post where he was completely free to take the ball and get a shot in.

Worried that we've lost at home again but massively encouraged by the performance. At times it was exactly what I want to see - high tempo, aggressive, attacking and, more often than not, the chances were achieved by 'good' football. Perfect SUFC fayre.

It will come.

It will upset some on here that monty and Quinn did so well ,including the writer of the longer match report who continues to have a bias against certain players calling in to question the validity of his reporting

In the other match report the fact that Mattock got 6.5 compared with Monty and Quinn's 6 says it all about how blinkered and stuck in there way Deadbat, Pinchy and Micalijo are when it comes to game by game player assessment. Alien Wood ward on the other hand shows the example of man willing to re-apraise players. I myself think that yeates is too lightweight and has far less to offer other than the occational run. I will however be quite happy to eat my words and would love him to come good.
I dont for one minute think that the fans posting on here believe that Monty and Quinn are our answer. To slate and keep slating them shows a very closed mind.

As someone else said elsewhere. I call it as i see it. It may not be as indepth as other but the other lacks as much detail as mine when it comes to the infuence of certain players. The pre conceived ideas about our players is becoming very tiresom.
Game by game I look for positives in our players hoping they will produce match changing performances for the good while other wish to focus on players mistakes even if it was only one misplaced pass they would rather focus on that than say a goal assist and even if they see the goal assist they would claim it was lucky.

i don't understand what people seen in monty and quinn boo.. laudibly i think they feel sorry for them .. people are picking on them.. they're not.. they are utter.. s###e

As pointed out time and again by lots. THEY DONT SEE MONTY AND QUINN AS THE ANSWER. Just a fact of life that at the mo we dont have much choice. So lets all go to the game and help get the most out of our limited resources By supporting even if it is through gritted teeth.
