Yes. Just heard his ramblings. The words 'oh dear' sprang to mind. Dementia?

Does he still want us to sign John Marquis?

Because we are poor and start games like an oil cargo ship in a race against a speedboat

Ok, have it your own way. The S6 lot are not a poor team - you might be average at present but have a habit of starting slow and then picking up. I'd say 60% of the teams are capable of putting a run together - Villa are the latest and Bristol have picked it up again.

You should know having been here longer than us.

You can only start slow for so long and get away with it and the football is atrocious. But back on thread btb is baffling at times as 1 minute wilder is god and next minute he wants him out.

he's a stooge for the program.. ever tried getting through?? it's impossible
starting to look a bit silly now RS poor script today

Brian the MeMe was going to the Lane to protest for Wilder to be sacked next week, but his grandson has stopped him.

In fairness, he wasn’t the only ‘Blade’ who sounded as though he’d been champing at the bit for weeks to have something to moan about, I despair sometimes.

Wilder obviously thought 3 games in six was too much for Clarke and Brooks. Maybe in retrospect he should have started them and subbed them if they were struggling, but he’s the one that’s seen their stats and if they’d been poor or even worse pulled up injured, some would have given him stick for that. Baldock’s injury put paid to completely refreshing the strike force and bringing Billy on, but overall we played very well.

I trust Wilder’s judgement 100% but sometimes it doesn’t quite come off. It’s real live football not a video game, which makes the calls all the more surprising because most of the moaners tonight were old enough to know better and will never have even seen the Football Manager game, let alone played it.

Brian will never be happy till he gets the manager’s job. The Lane or Hillsborough, he’s not bothered, he’s managed in the Meadowhall league.

I listen to Toby foster in the mornings now and even he talks about him. It's like a silly character on Saturday morning kids tv. Which if that's the show and the audience then great.

However some of us like our local football show to be a little better than that.

WILLIAM H BONNEY fully agree, no place for him, I stopped listening to radio Sheffield post match because of the presenters encouraging these types of characters

Nailed it. Admittedly I've listened this week just to stretch out the joy of last Sunday. But by Thursday I was pulling my hair out.
paul walker is best presenter of the show even though he is a blade, rob staton aint too bad and buchan is all giddy at times, andy giddings :tumbleweed:

He's always been like that. Backs a manager one minute and then it's car park protests before you know it.
He's a strange character for sure although these days I find myself chuckling at him more than I used to for some reason

Did he really do shoes off in car park protest.

I actually think Gidds is the best presenter we've had for ages but not the best commentator. I would rank the current crop [Walker included] as follows:

Presenter
1 Giddings
2 Staton and Walker about even
4 Buchan

Commentator
1 Walker - no contest
2 Staton
3 Giddings
4 Buchan - you're getting better though Johnny

Paul walker is great imo and wish they'd get him back.
