what contract, if any, would you offer him?

£10k pw, £5k appearance bonus, £5k goal bonus

On his recent performances think he can do a job, but no way he’s getting forty grand a week here or anywhere

I don't think goal bonuses are much in favour these days, as it can promote selfish behaviour, potentially the expense of the team.

I'd give him £100k per goal, but only against the S6 Massive.

He’s deluded & listening to his Agent who’s probably told him he’s a Premiership player. Consequently he’s wasted another pre-season which for someone with so many injuries is just madness.

He’ll end up lower end Championship or League 1 on a 1 year deal.

The season is just over a week away and yet McBurnie and Brewster are still without clubs. Could it be that their wage demands are too high and are putting off other Championship clubs, or could it be that they're not that sought after because they're actually..... * careful now * ..... not very good and over rated by Blades fans, as acceptance and celebration of mediocrity is in our DNA?

They'll both be aiming as high as they can, safe in the knowledge that somebody will still pick them up if not, same with Calvert-Lewin who had time to ship himself around to Newcastle and Arsenal, then hang on to see how desperate Man Utd got before probably going to Villa as back-up, safe in the knowledge that he'd have options abroad or bottom end Premier League if none of them work out. Why settle for your actual level when you can try to fall upwards first.

McBurnie is at least a proven Championship goalscorer, not sure what Brewster's selling point is or what position he'll be trying to convice clubs to sign him for but he'll be trying to get a Premier League club before ending up somewhere like Stoke or Blackburn.

I wouldn't give another penny tbh, he's bled the club dry for far to long and given us absolutely nothing back apart from a tap in, good riddance

Looks like McBurnie is going back to Swansea.

If Brewster played for no wages next season, his average salary over the 5yrs would still make him one of our highest paid players.
All that for very little return. Ungrateful sod can go find some other mug club to bleed dry.

Exactly. With Moore, Campbell, One and Cannon - why would be countenance any expenditure on a 5th choice striker?

Especially as we have zero RB's and if the season started tomorrow JLT would still be in the starting XI...

Because Moore is at best not very good, Campbell will miss a chunk of games through injury and cannot last 90min, Onè is young and unproven in the Championship, and Cannon is probably 50/50 on if he will come good.
Agree though we do also need a RB and another CD.

Brewster and mcburnie would walk into this squad and drastically improve it

Mcburnie is miles better than kieffer moore , and a fit Brewster under an attacking manager in selles would be great at this level

Keep clapping though people we have a 24 year old from peru and a bunch of bulgarians with less than 2 weeks till the start

Absoloutely Honking summer transfer window so far and thats not to mention Anel having a year left on his contract
