Brewster

He’s supposed to be a goalscorer and he was the only striker on the pitch. Yet he doesn’t take the penalty. Instead a left back takes it. Tells me everything I need to know. Zero bottle.

Be a man. Step up and smash it in the top corner. Instead he passes on the responsibility

Hopefully that’s the last game he ever plays for this club. I’ll drive him to anywhere he wants to go in league 2

Course he is. Because Brewster is shit. What sort of striker allows himself to be passed up for penalty duties. Could you imagine Shearer being told he wasn’t on pens?

Course he’s bottled it. He has clearly been told pre match that he’s not on pens. I’d be telling Wilder if a left backs on pens what am I here for?

Have you considered a therapy class? You could car share with Houston_Blade

Brewster apologists are like that lad who swears his mrs has changed and she's not a cunt any more when in actuality everyone around him is thinking "you silly fucker"
No ones apologising for him
But constantly coming after him after every game is just the behaviour of a twat
He's not good, we know that but of all the positive things about a threadbare squad battling through a tough period of games to be topf the league his debatable level of performance is what you want to. Focus on
Bit sad really

Brewster's never scored in front of the Kop has he?!

That's one I'd like to see ticked off before the end of the season. So if we get a pen at a more comfortable scoreline I hope he takes it

Yesterday we just did what we always do. He just happened to be the pretender this time. McAtee excelled in the role last season

Scored against Luton a few years ago.

He was fine yesterday, only possible criticism was that he didn't get into the box quick enough sometimes, leaving nobody in the middle to aim for, which Moore is also guilty of sometimes. Criticising him for not taking the penalty is madness, he's bad at them, Burrows is good.

On this subject most on here will know my views. I don't rate him.
Yesterday he was OK. Certainly not brilliant. Not good. Not bad. Just ok.
A 6/10 performance which for him was an improvement.
When Campbell came on you could see what a difference he made compared to Brewster.
I think however it speaks volumes when Wilder issues a statement that Kiefer Moore has been carrying an injury for some time. Yet he has played Moore, who is injured, ahead of Brewster who is fully fit.
Make of that what you will.

He tries his hardest and is a positive influence in the dressing room 😂😂😂
I could do that. Start me and pay mr 35k a week. What a shit post

Looking at some of the reactions to your musings on here, safe to say when you opened your gob in the changing room most of the players would shake their heads, turn and walk away thinking 'what a cunt, think I'll start a thread on S24 about him'.

Did amazing yesterday, had some shots, worried their defenders I think the 2nd half drop off was because of his exertion In 1st half, he's good to have round the dressing room for the run in.

He did okay against Norwich but he's still not in the same league, not literally, as Campbell. Tyrese when he came on was a handful for the defenders, granted they were tired, and looked open at every attack. Brewster, bless him, just doesn't have that ability to worry defences. Yes, he makes a nice pass and gets the odd shot away but did anybody feel like he was going to score ? I didn't. When he took the ball for the penalty I was thinking "oh no!" Then he handed it to Burrows and then felt relief.
He'll find his feet with some club in the future, just not this one. On our upward trajectory, hopefully, he isn't good enough. Sorry if that upsets a few but it's true. Campbell and Cannon are ahead of him when arrive/fit. Moore is too. Oné, maybe not, yet.
That will probably be the last time he'll start for United, baring the last game of the season when promotion is done. Thanks Rhian. Just didn't work out for you. Good luck , you're still young.

Hmmmmm, so all you have to do to be amazing is have some shots! As for worrying their defenders, they were so anxious and troubled by him he somehow didn't manage to score.
I thought footballers were supposed to be fit enough for 90 minutes not just 45.
Being good in the dressing room doesn't get you points on the board. Whereas being good on the pitch does.

I agree he was ok yesterday but the lad is not producing what he was bought for and that is putting the ball in the net .I do feel for the lad he does try and he seems a popular guy with the other players but he is getting near to the end of his contract and has a shocking injuries history .We seem to be near buying two other strikers and I can;t see the club being in a rush to renewing his contract . Really hope he comes good in the next couple of months and proves us all wrong but can't see it .

He was about at Wolves away levels in 1st half was unlucky with a couple of efforts

There are a few cunts that people don’t like. Maybe you need to develop a bit of self awareness.
The only reason you're not on ignore, is that I get a kick from reminding you,
just how easy it is to use the booking system to get tickets for your imaginary "mates" to sit with you at the Lane. 😘

I’d give him another year. He’s not an out and out striker but always seems to look OK in a deeper role. Harsh to criticise him he’s had some really bad injuries. Seem to remember him hitting some form in our promotion season and then his hamstring snapping again. It’s not his fault the fee we paid nor the contract he was offered, you can’t hold that against him.

What worries me, is that some ''fans'' on here who probably secretly / or not secretly wanted him to take it and miss it. The way he sold Gunn a dummy was superb.

Not only does he rarely score, he's also poor on assists often going for a shot rather than looking up and choosing a pass to a colleague in a much better position.
Yesterday was a typical Brewster non-performance and he should not have stayed on for the full game.

Perrleeeease can we kill this thread now? Liverpool had our pants down, Brewster is history and we all move on - the constant recycling of the same points of view is seriously boring 🥱 .
