If we want to get in the top 6 this is the sort of game we have to win. It's a hard game but so is just about every other game we have left. They don't come much harder than Cardiff at home next Monday, so a result on Friday would be very welcome because we don't want to be going into the Cardiff game on the back of a defeat and under pressure to get a win.

Brentford's recent form is actually encouraging for us. They seem to have become quite inconsistent again, and only have 1 home win in 5.

Our recent defensive record is also encouraging, with 3 clean sheets in a row. We'll need to be good defensively to get a result, and probably ride our luck a bit, as they inevitably have a lot of possession and shots. The Fulham game should have been a very relevant lesson for us with this game in mind.

And we're way overdue a win in London. That can be spun as a reason to be optimistic can't it?!

How would you like to see us line up? What will Wilder go with? I'd hope for this and think he may go with it too... athough I wouldn't be surprised to see Donaldson start.

can't see him leaving bill out but i agree we have to take the handbrake off..

Still think he will go with two up front and keep Brooks back. Then again are we due a bout of Clever Trevor?

Maybe Sharp for Clarke dependant on who's looked best in training but I like the look of that.

I'm pretty confident they will score twice. That's the sort of line up that at least gives us a shout at scoring 3. Whatever happens this is a both teams to score banker.

No fucking around now. We need 4 points from the next 2

Yep, I think they're guaranteed to score. 4 clean sheets in a row would be a bit much for us. We've just got to keep them down to 1. Every chance we'll win if we do that.

They'll have a lot of the ball so I think we've got to give ourselves a chance on the counter. Brooks gives us that, so does Donaldson. If we play two attacking midfielders we'll also have more numbers to close them down in the midfield area - especially Ryan Woods who will probably make about 1000 passes...

I think Wilder will stick to Sharp and Clarke up front with Brooks still to come off the bench but for a good footballing side like Brentford your formation would be the one for me.

Brentford have a good midfield spine so defensively I'd have Brooks dropping back from attack to outnumber them in the middle. Clarke's running and strength makes him our best bet as a lone striker and he'll do a good job harassing their defence while Duffy and Brooks play just off him going forward.

Is that Judge guy back playing yet?
He was on the verge of a big money move until the broken leg scuppered any transfer. Hope he's still unfit (sorry mate) as he poses a real danger.

He's been on the bench recently.

He did his tibia and fibula, so it was a bad leg break. He's done well to come back but it'll be hard for him to get back to where he was given his age. Real shame for him because he was on his way to the PL having worked his way up the divisions. Really good player.
