Simonsen's penalty has just left the solar system and will spend the rest of time circling the inner Milky Way.

:D

The same could be said for everyone of our goal kicks away at Fulham, I'm sure Howard had backed himself as 1st goalscorer

In other news, the efforts of Williamson, Lowton and Taylor are still safely out of the net... But they appear to have gotten away with nobody realising outfield players are also supposed to score.

And all went on to get nice contracts elsewhere and thus no comeback whatsoever for ruining out future. Very lucrative contracts in the case of Lowton and Williamson.

Was really gutted for him. He got dropped for some suspect performances earlier that season and was replaced by the even more suspect Long, so regained his place. He then put in some realy strong performances and was rightfully selected for the play off final. Started off with a great save and seemed really passionate in his celebration of said save. Then after the penalty miss, seemed absolutley distraught and teary eyed. I was gutted for us and for him.

That was a superb tactic and the first vision we had of what Clough was bringing to the party.

I still can't get over the fact that an entire season came down to two goalkeepers being forced to take penalties.

It could only happen to us.

The day that any team relies on a keeper to score in a penalty shootout is the day that the outfield players should be ashamed, and that goes for Huddersfield as well. A dreadful shootout from both teams.

Simmo got a raw deal imo.

Andy "Penalty Specialist" Taylor to give him his full name.

Just think, if we'd have beat Huddersfield, we wouldn't have Clough and probably not the Prince.

We are better off now than if we had gone up IMO.
