Brayford defensively has looked good since he came but going forward he has been woeful. He didn't try to beat his man once today and seemed to just offload the ball to Basham whenever possible . Putting a few misplaced passes aside he was still bad today and made me think was he really worth £1.5 million when Flynn was playing well. At the time I was thrilled he was coming back but he's not looked the premiership/championship player he is supposed to be.

He was never going to be. He wasn't as good as people like to remember last season either. His arrival last season coincided with us stopping being absolute dog shit (post Weir) and grabbing a load of narrow wins. And his beard was something a bit different.

I don't think too many people thought he was Premier League quality! The Cup Semi Final last year will have disabused most people of that notion.

I think the issue is that he can't bomb forward in the same way because defensively we're so bad. Last year we had a solid defence with two experienced CBs and a central midfield who could dominate and cover. Now, our 1.5million plus RB is covering for our manager's idiocy in the transfer market. If we don't go up, his wages could end up being a millstone.

He has addressed it, just very badly! McGahey, nowhere near good enough. McCarthy, couldn't have given less of a fuck. Butler, well who knows what went off. I don't know whether he'd have been the answer or not but either way Clough fucked up, either by buying someone that wasn't good enough or by misjudging his character and his ability to work with him.

I am 100% convinced that if our Centre back pairing throughout this seaon had been Collins and Butler we would have lost a lot less matches than the 13 we have done so far this season.

Of all Nigel's petty vindictive actions this seaon the treatment of these two experienced players has been the most costly.

The first home match he set off up the wing several times to overlap for JCR but JCR was clueless and Beard trotted back to his position looking a bit downhearted with JCR

Scunny's goal was his fault.
There are plenty of goals conceded recently that have been his fault.
It's an inauspicious return although I fully agree with BoS about JCR not using the "overs" effectively.

why does this argument still keep cropping up? On one side there are people saying they should be able to boo because they pay the ticket price to be entertained and if pros being paid x amount per week and on the other side there are people saying it doesn't help the team.

I know if someone was talking about another team and said they were known for getting behind the team no matter what wed be saying what a great set if fans but if someone was talking about a set of fans who constantly got on the teams back when ever there was a misplaced pass we'd all be saying what a bunch of Wankers.

Totally agree, but Brayford is a £1m+ right back and a 2 bob centre back. So whose to blame?
