Brayford back for good on Saturday

I'd be happy to see him get 20 minutes at the end. Bearded messiah or no, Nige2 can't be putting too much pressure on a man who finished last season on crutches.

The only reason for that could be that it's potentially less demanding for a comeback at CB rather than RB but apart from that, despite how badly everyone else has been in that position of late, it's a waste him being played there.

I don't disagree. Though if Adkins analysed Brayford's performances last season for us he'd have seen someone that was probably more effective a centre-half than our current two have been this year (in spite of it not being his proper position).

Which is worse:
Brayford, Basham, Collins, Harris
or
Freeman, Brayford, Basham/Collins, Harris
?

It's probably the former. But such has been our defensive failings this season that I really don't think there's much between the two. It's like the Howard/Long argument – neither is ideal.

As I mentioned on the team for tomorrow thread, I can see him going with Edgar / Basham centrally tomorrow, without checking, a combination he hasn't tried yet :)

I sort of got the impression from that interview that he'd be coming back in at centre-half. May be me just reading things into it, but he certainly bigged up the role & his enjoyment of playing in the centre.

Wouldn't want to rush him back, but Freeman's had a couple of stinkers so if he can play I think he should.

daft to pin so much hope on this one thing.

It certainly is mate, I want him back fully fit and hope that it's not a desperate attempt to find the spark within the first team by bringing him back early..

I don't wanna see him jumping up and down at centre half either, that won't be any good for his knees...

So this beard fella...is he any good?

Thanks for the Sheffield Live clip.

Per the Beard: "To have that privilege to put the red and white shirt on...."

Oh for another 10 like him!
