It's about time we had a divisive player to argue about

The comments say to me that he was a very good player (as we have seen) up to recently and this season ,coinciding with Stuart McCall taking over. If he doesn't fit into the way McCall plays that would answer why has been disappointing this season. We have better players and are more flexible than Bradford , he will be a massive asset to us you watch.
Agree entirely ,but Im only going on my own view of him. I reckon Ive seen him 15 times and at least 10 of those times he has been man of the match ,he wins a ridiculous amount of headers. Even this season when they didn't play to his strengths he was a real handful and they got 3 against us.New surroundings and a new manager could just be the tonic for James Hanson's career. I'm sure he's aware of the negative forum comments at Bradford while he was there so moving to a local rival who happen to be streets ahead of his old he's going to want to impress that's for sure.
I believe in Wilders judgement and if he thinks he's the right player alongside Sharpe then I'll support him 100%.

Well he's here now so lets see, not my cup of tea but Wilder obviously thinks he can add value to the squad. My main worry is if we go up players like Hanson are not going to be good enough, Wilder says we aren't in the market for £1m players which surprises me a little, thought our wealthy owners would have the foresight to invest bigger in a top of the table side looking to play in the Championship next season.
You're incorrect.
Our wealthy owners have ensured we are always amongst the biggest budget in league 1 and always have a contingency extra budget to bring in further additions to get promoted.
Agree Hanson probably isn't Championship standard but we've previously brought in players with Championship pedigree and it's backfired.
It would be utter madness to spend next years budget this season. Why gamble our future on this season?
So let's concentrate on crossing the line for promotion first. Then worry about the Championship hopefully in April.

"35k for that lanky beanpole Deane? I'll drive him down the M18 meself! LMAO"This thread makes me think it'd be fascinating to see the view from Doncaster on the signing of Brian Deane
I knew some Donny fans at the time and that's more or less what they said."35k for that lanky beanpole Deane? I'll drive him down the M18 meself! LMAO"
