Cheers Roy.

I still have a grudge against Bournemouth for the theft of David Brooks so here's hoping The Mousse will return the favour and smash a hat trick against them on the opening day of the season.

If Brooksy to Man u speculation is right and £50m wafts Bournemouths way and if we have a 20% sell on clause - Lys is free. if we go down the add ons are cancelled out- there maybe a profit on the deal. Also doing it quickly may mean AFCB dont get a chance to replace Brooksy giving us a better chance of staying up...just saying if.

If you think they only paid us £11.5m for Brookes. I’d say we’ve been ripped off but hope I’m wrong

Anyone who thinks someone can coast at Sheffield United and get away with it must know nothing about Wilder. And that’s before Sharp, Basham and Enda have their words.

He’ll be nowhere near the first team without the right attitude and Wilder will have made this unequivocally clear.

I think we need to take a step back and give Wilder some credit. I just can't see him sanctioning a £10m fee if he doesn't think Mousset is gravy.

How many goals do we expect him to get? If we want someone to score 15+ it’s either going to be a wild card signing or someone we can’t afford. Fingers crossed he can do it for us, with Robinson and Freeman he should definitely get the service.

You need to remember that Brooksy couldn’t get in our team and hardly had any league experience.
There are big similarities between Brooks and Mousset, at the time of sale both had huge talent and huge potentially, but both had poor stats.
So both were calculated risks with both buying clubs hoping to manage those players to fulfil their potential.

The Brooks was one of those rare deals that was a WIN-WIN-WIN for all parties.
Bournmouth paid 11 million but now have a 20 million player. They are happy.
We sold him for 11 million but used to money to strengthen the squad gaining us a 110 million promotion windfall. We are happy.
Brooksy probably tripled his salary and increased his reputation. Brooks is happy.

I think the fact Wilder has been after him for a while has struck a chord with Mousset, he mentioned it in that weird interview he was forced to do. He’s also put out an Instagram story thanking Wilder for the belief in him. I reckon he’ll do well here and seems motivated to repay Wilders faith in him already.

"From the bench he’s a game change as so unpredictable…but has never changed a game successfully." - eh???

"there’s a chance he could really come good in the right setup.” - ah that might be with us then

Think I may bookmark this one. Could be so right, but equally we have a habit of doing the unexpected.

The same sort of bullshit could be said about us at the start of the last two seasons.

“Think Lys is the kind of player that can be both brilliant and terrible in the space of five minutes."

So basically he's this season's Christian Nade. But actually smiles!

Doubled in value already! At the very least.
On the flip side MC Burnies value must have halved, at least.

While the raw potential is clearly there, I find it impossible to understand how a pro footballer in the biggest league in the world is regularly out of steam and running on empty after 40/50 minutes football.

Wilder states we “need to get him up to speed”. It’s feckin November. How long will this take.

More than a hint that he needs to stay off the Big Macs and Zinger towers and stay on the treadmill !😀.

I remember watching this on totps in 1980 , who would have thought we would be singing it 39 years later , you really couldn't make it up lol

To be fair I actually still agree with this comment. He does some great stuff then misplaces a 5 yard pass or makes the wrong decision. However I love this surprise element, like his turn on Saturday.

He seems like a nice lad, but he’s had a couple of years in second gear at Bournemouth (not all his doing), at the end of which he’s been rewarded with a multimillion pound transfer and contract. The lesson that teaches isn’t a healthy one.

But now he has the chance to meet his obvious potential, does he have the drive and the hunger to do it? I pray he does as he could be as good as any striker I’ve seen in a Blades shirt.

Like I say, I think all Moussett needs is confidence. He's bagged two goals out of nowt within a week, and a blistering one against Everton where he showed his turn of pace and clinical finishing.

All we need now is for him to start a match and finish it and create threats in that 90 minutes throughout. Against pedestrian defences I guess he can make his mark. We need to work on crossing and finding him with passes. Lundys on v Everton was excellent.

They may be regretting selling him today! A strange cameo performance from him, brilliant for the goal, but then seemed to become lethargic and sulky. Wilder kept having words with him, he is like the best player in a kids football team, brilliant but prone to sulking!
