Was always going to happen, which is a shame seeing as it kills the atmosphere.

Nowt wrong with Saturday at 3pm if you ask me! :D

If we only give the lower (which I suspect we won't) then with 10,000 or so ST holders we are going to have to shift approaching 20,000 tickets for a noon KO on a Sunday at Cat A prices. It must be a long, long time since we've done that for a league match?

I know we've said we aren't going to try and entice fans to matches during the season to teach them a lesson about not buying a ST (great season to try that policy) but it would have been an opportunity to get some fans back and tie it into a reduced priced 3 match ticket perhaps with some of the many Tues night home games we have.

Maybe we'll give thenm the whole BL end including the corner to prevent red faces on the attendance front

What a crock, moving kick offs on Poilice advice. They could kick off at 6.30am and fans could still get pissed and be up for a scrap if they wanted to.

personally i aint bothered about the derbies anymore since they did the double over us,thanks for that memory blackwell, the thoughts of laws waddling up and down the touch line with that fuckin scarf fills me with bitter disappointment

Its so South Yorkshires finest can remain on duty all day and night at overtime rate and create problems themselves to justify it.

If you never feel that disappointment you can never really appreciate winning, quote from the Guru Bassett.

Can't see how we've a realistic reason NOT to give them both tiers now for pretty much the same reasons as we get them at theirs. With the shifting to Sundays likely to have an adverse effect on attendances anyway I'd hope the club(s) don't go for the packaging up of the fixtures as any further disincentives to attend could result in gates under 25k. Which would pretty much do for the "Sheffield fans deserve better" argument.

Just for one week, be inclusive and not divisive.

there'll still be trouble anyway.. there always is.. you could have this game on the moon at 1am and there would be aggravation.. anyways how's southsea these days.. i used to live there in a previous life.. how i miss the mighty fine and the black dog(?) .. Not.

I always think its odd that the police deem it too dangerous to play at any other time than lunch time on a Sunday unless Sky want to show it, then its safe to have it on a Friday night

Because Police offer "advice" and a certain threat that it will have to have more officers (and thus COST) at the game.

Sky, on the other hand, bring a big bag of cash and thus these extra police can be paid and a nice profit still made.

Money talks (even if it's all gibberish bollocks).

Ususally over the years, the matches have been on Sundays. But in the 05/06 promotion campaign, both were Saturday afternoon 3pm matches. If I recall, both were generally peaceful. Why then has it reverted to the early k.o.'s on Sundays?
