Boro next 2 at home v Blackpool and away at Cardiff. Both very winnable
we are at Rotherham and then Swansea at home. Could easily lose points in both.
Then we play Boro!
Potential if they beat us to close the gap to 3 points if the 2 preceding results go against us!
Might as well cash out now with some sort of compromise - with the autos essentially disappearing for us over the next month, perhaps we can tell the EFL we'll settle for 6th place if they'll let us have it now

Basically we are 12 points ahead of Boro with a game in hand at Rovrum. Win that and we are 15 points clear plus vastly better GD with only 17 games left. Even if we draw we are 13 ahead and lose we are still 12 ahead!
For me the GD is kind of irrelevant.

If they catch up the point difference the likelihood is the GD would disappear anyway.

However. If we go 15 pts clear I think that's about it tbh.

I'll never count my chickens but its hell of a gap to close. If we were 3rd 15 ots behind we'd not give auto promo a 2nd thought

Most of the posters on here aren't giving promotion a chance even though we are 12 points clear

Our game in hand is Reading away

Or Rotherham away and Swansea at home are both very winnable and we’re fine

I took it that BoT was being a little sarcastic with their post which was made in response to an earlier poster who mentioned that we could lose our gap in the the blink of an eye. I didn't get the impression Toast was being defeatist, rather the opposite.

My my own part, keep the players we already have (especially Ndiaye) in place and fit, and we will stroll it to auto promotion. It's a huge season for us and I think a few are easily panicked when they think about the consequences of failure. United keep their nerve and keep grinding out the results and we will be up in April.

i think realistically only middlesbro can catch us but they would have to go on a hell of a winning run to get near us and law of averages says their gonna have hiccups along the way

we were shocking last week and tbh with playing crooks up front. unable to get past 3rd gear. luckily thats been enough to keep winning most weeks. archer up front vs watford made the difference. we can now hit higher gears again. hopefully we can take pools apart next week and get something the at cardiff. close that gap a little for the game at the lane. spice things up lolz.

for those wondering about our rwb jones. hes been left out of them team because hes struggling. i mean the lad is having trouble controlling the ball. completely lost it. carrick has pulling him from the firing line. last season was his first at this level. i think the pressure has caught up with him. he needs a break to get his head right.

i was on the grand central train yesterday with a load of watford fans (i was going up to see my parents in northallerton, they were changing later) and they said on the way how poor they were and amazed they were third.

on the way back spoke to the same fans and they said boro were superb, best team they've played all season. i just hope wilder did enough in those first few games to blunt their bid but the game v them is the BIG one imo.
