Always had a soft spot for Bologna as it's a nice city and was my first experience of a McDonalds that also served Beer ;)

Some seriously nice restaurants there though.

Where did you fly from ?

Where did you fly from ?

Gatwick IIRC, it was not long before 9/11 so a while ago now. Alitalia did a decent in-flight meal (not that it's had much competition since). Wouldn't mind going back, even to a Gobshite like me some of the buildings were breathtaking.

Thanks, that's the only place I can find direct. flights from.

How's Mrs Crab doing?

You'd think you'd be able to get something up here wouldn't you?

Yeah...Would be nice to go to the lane and have somebody other than McCabe stealing from my wallet :-)

Although Livorno are equally as mental but just swing to the left. Once went to Lazio v Livorno as I was Rome working, Livorno fans came in 1 minute into the 2nd half having removed the flags from their flagpoles and just started twatting the Lazio fans with them over the fence.[/QUOTE

Pussy cats Hellas Verona Nord Curva

You can or could, fly from Stansted also. I went to Bologna 2 years ago and we flew from here.
Bolgnese trivia....there is a statue in the main piazza, sculpted by an artisan who had a long running feud with the local nobility. He sculpted it in such a way, that when viewed from behind, (the view afforded of the statue to said nobility from their windows) the subject's arm is posed in such a way as to resemble a thumping great erection.
Good to see nob gags were alive and kicking during the Renaissance.

Parma and Reggio Emilia are nice as well if you're in the area.

No problem mate, apology accepted. :)
no apology was given. I was following on with pasta puns and incorporated a pasta into a song sung when we played the pigs the last few times, but its the time that we live in that people will see something that isn't there and be offended on the behalf of some one else:rolleyes: obviously the PENNE still hasn't dropped:)

Obviously not, see #77 and #65

Not read this whole thread, but knowing the problems that parts of Sheffield has with poverty in areas like fir vale, which is a strong Roma area, i think the club could do a lot in areas like this. With Shirecliffe being located where it is it is ideally placed to support a quite underprivelidged community

Football clubs can be really supportive in these areas and I'd hope that even if we become more successful in the next few years we contunue to support the local communities

A few years ago I played against a team from that community, was in the meadowhall league. They had an old guy playing for them who tore us to shreds. It was quite surreal to be honest. Apparently he played at a very decent level back home. Anyway they wore a United kit which had been donated to them and they also had access to Shirecliffe when required.

Ok, I'll say it then. Roma? no thanks. Leave them where they are, or encourage them to go to Hillsboro.
