11 getting booed right now.
Doing that is worse than the performance.
Shabby display by a second string team, but concerning the more established players and subs didn't change it. They walked off , heads hung in shame, that's enough IMO.
Credit to Barnet fans for their support and Wilder for waiting around to shake each of their players hands as they came off.

Wilder shook the Barnet players hands? Did he have them in his acca?

There are no weeks off. We play Norwich on 4th round day.

you're disappointed too. So why are you attacking people who are unhappy about the result?

Because disappointment is part of life. It happens. You have to get over it and go again. Raging changes nothing and words like “disgrace” and “embarrassment” are, as usual just knee jerk reactions made from the usual suspects. My question is what do we do differently? The answer is nothing right now, it’s a Cup game. There’s talk of momentum and there’s a truth in that but the reality is we win next weekend and all this is forgotten. Then we win again the week after and everyone is high as a kite.

I remember the season we got to 2 semi finals. But what do I remember it for? Losing in the play off final because it was a game too far and players were exhausted. Hot day, big pitch and they were fucked. If we spare ourselves a cup run and get promotion then who will be complaining?

CW just said we should have booed louder haha end of conversation.

Wilder gets it. He is going to go through that team like a dose of salts. It’s the boot up the arse many of them clearly need. If there is a positive that is it.

Personal choice , frankly get hacked off with people telling others what they should think , do , say etc .. what happened to free speech and freedom of expression . Quite right there's some things you can no longer do or say in a football stadium . Booing isn't one of them . If people want to it's thier choice , if I do or don't like it wtf does it matter. If we ban everything that some people don't like it'll literally be football in a library . I'm not saying if I agree with booing or not but it's not illegal and I'm quite happy for people to express themselves within the law as they want to .

Sheffield United 0-1 Barnet: Our fans didn't boo loud enough says Blades boss

LOL whos a bellend now , you bellend .

An old thread but noticed this is creeping back in again with a few results gong the wrong way .
I’ve been attending The Lane for 47 years and I can honestly say I’ve never booed the team off , don’t get me wrong I’ve seen some right shite on occasions but and had a few choice words never felt the need to boo .
What in fucks name do they think it achieves , do they think it picks up the players or management ?
Noticed that some are now even booing if we’re coming of at half time and drawing ? Ala QPR game
Before anyone says it’s just for the officials .. poor reffing and alike.. which there has been some horror shows this season in that dept some of it isn’t .. I ended up having words with a bell end that sits near me for his constant negativity & slagging off the side .. and that’s when we’re winning .
Seems to come from a lot of the Facebook I want instant success brigade , fuck me you don’t know what bad is if think this is at present !!!
Get behind the team ⚔️

I have never and would never boo the players. That’s going to really give them confidence! I do however voice my displeasure to those I sit with, as we discuss how we could have done it better 😂….That’s more about frustration, because I want the team to do well and win every game.
The officials on the other hand, especially those of late, will get my wholehearted BOOs at the end of the match. It’s a difficult job I know, but seriously?!

I can’t say I have ever decided to boo our players. Or in fact the opposition players. Why sound like a constipated cow when you can call Dean Hammond a wage stealing cunt from a distance.

And here's the exception that booing isn't worth it, letting Dean Hammond know and later on John Lundstram what we think about them, totally worth it, booing Chris Wilder after he walked off and left, when he didn't have to, worth it too..

As a manager, the boos will kick the half time team talk off, I can imagine.

"well they've let you know how you've played there haven't they"

I have booed before, at half time and the end because its feedback, if you work in an environment where there is no criticism then you'll start to fail..

I remember everybody in the world telling Mike Tyson how great he was, and how unbeatable he was just before James Buster Douglas put him on his back.. Complacency brings failure, in all walks of life.

Booing the players is for morons

It achieves nothing and makes the situation worse and just makes the players hate the fans

Booing the manager not a problem

Or maybe booing the players might actually fire them up to prove the fans wrong?

Players are all too ready to take the praise when things are going well, they have to be able to take the rough with the smooth.

Fans pay a lot of money to watch the side, if they feel they’re being short changed they’ve every right to let the players know.

Fans can say what they want of course they pay there money so they can

However there is no logic to booing them just makes it a toxic environment

I wouldn’t boo because it sounds pathetic but I can understand this viewpoint entirely.

When I say "boo" I use it figuratively for "provide negative feedback."
Think that's the politest way of putting it...

What I never understand is why do some supporters nationwide clap/cheer players when they've been sent off? I've booed players who have stupidly got sent off, only ever time

After going to the Lane for 47 years, you should really have known by now that not everyone will be singing off the same hymn sheet. Some will always find a reason to moan.

I remember my dad taking me to games, we'd sit on the Kop down near the SS corner, me being 9 years old would be cool and sit down the front on my own. There was always some old bloke with about 5 carrier bags, who, when the attendance figures were announced would shout that we're crap and can do better. Didn't matter if we were winning or not, attendances were crap and we should be getting more through the gates.
