Why is it that many Blades fans feel they have to pick out a particular player to blame all our shortcomings on?

Is it a Blades thing or do many clubs have the same?

At the moment, everything is Rob Kozluk's fault. Last season we had Nick Montgomery and Paul Ifill in equal measure... and you can probably add Del Geary to that somewhere as well.

Are some people blind to the way a player actually plays? Can they not have good games and bad games like anyone? Or because you've decided you don't like them, does that mean they can't have a good game again?

I'm just curious...

Because they are united fans.

Its a sheffield thing, ourselves and wednesday love to have a boo boy more than anything. Its mental.

So far this season weve had Tonge, Monty, Kozluk, Kabba, Webber and now Nade is getting some of it.

Dont know another club who's supporters turn on players like ours.

Some people can't see the fact that other clubs have Better players than we do at the moment.
Every player has a bad day, look at the Swansea game, they all had bad games then!
We lose to Chelsea and everyone seems to think we should have got at least a draw.
It's Chelsea FFS.

In all fairness, I've not heard anyone sing 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' at any player yet. That puts us behind West Ham and Man City at least in terms of supporters who turn on their players.

If we was happy with everyone's performance then their wouldnt be a problem and we would be a lot further up the league.

We get frustrated with certain individuals when they don't perform to what we have seen them do before. Or if they don't put enough effort in.

It's not just a Sheffield united thing, it's a football thing.

I don't think forums help with it because people seem to focus on some individuals.

Some definately decide about players before a ball is kicked......never understood that myself.

Someone near us had a right go at Tonge at Chelsea who'd done far more in a few minutes of coming on than Quinn had done all match. He never had a go at Quinn.

People either don't watch or decide on reputation I'm afraid.

The majority of clubs have the same problems, i've personally witnessed a far more negative attitued at a few west ham matches that i attended during my time at university then anything i've seen at the lane.

I get frustrated at peoples intolerance of certain players but they are entitled to their opinion, i very much doubt that things will ever be any different.
