This young fella did a video blog of the game yesterday if you've not seen it already - I remember his other vids from when we've played them in the past, pretty good!

I will say though the atmosphere from the Bolton fans looks a lot more lively than it felt in the ground - barely heard them all game (yes yes we didn't make any noise either, etc).

Just don’t get much out of these Vlogs. Some young lad / lass filming himself telling you what’s happening. Am I missing something?

While we’re at it, what’s the point of these online fans message boards? People giving their views on stuff as though we haven’t all got our own opinions thank you very much. People writing their own match reports? Can’t I just read the scoreline in the newspaper and imagine what happened any more without someone telling me their own experience or view?

Just another way of reliving the game innit. I enjoy them because I get to see more than the standard 2-10 mins of highlights and it can also be interesting to see what the "other side" thinks of the game. As I say I genuinely had no idea that Bolton fans actually sang a bit and were pretty into it, just didn't get that at all from the Kop! Less bothered about the ones where it's literally just a guy talking into a camera for the whole video, with no actual footage of what's happening on the pitch.

You are.

I actually like this lad.

I think he gives a fair and realistic view and it's good too see that we're not the only club with knobhead concourse wankers.

Didn't see him in the Sentinel though although it was good to see South Bucks and his lad in there.

The view of our second goal on the Thogden vlog (the first one) is better than you get from the 'official' shots, because you see so much of the Kop as a backdrop. It also feels less sanitised when filmed from the stands.

Also interesting to note that there didn't seem to be any disgruntlement from the Bolton fans about the lead up to our first.

I always like the Thogden vlogs as he's generally unbiased, and films chances and goals for both sides. I skip most of the bits which don't involve any match action though.

I thought that. Having watched the official highlights though the defender that Sharp outmuscles doesn’t even appeal - he knew he’d been done.

Saw him with his Dad in the Sentinel post game. He was on his laptop for a good hour obviosuly editing and posting it. His Dad just messed on his phone. They did not say a word to each other for this hour. It reminded me of me and the wife on a night out.

He seems a decent lad - him and the Ipswich guy do some really good and impartial vids. The lass above does a good one too.

I'm glad to see that it's not just our fans that make more noise on concourse during half-time, rather than when our players need it.

Yeah I agree to an extent, although it’s craic with fellow Blades and there’s a bit of interaction and community on a message board.

If it was amazing technical insight I could see it, or literally just showing the goals and the singing, but filming some fella predicting the result with his Dad or pals, you can do that in the pub or with your own pals and also have a nice beer / chat surely? :)

Can’t understand it myself, kids watch YouTube more than actual TV these days.

I’d rather watch something created by actual professional with decent production budgets myself, but each to there own.

YouTube is like going to a buffet for a meal
Proper tv is like going to a restaurant.
Some people like to choose exactly what they see, in small chunks.

It is interesting how the fashions in tv media is changing.
In a few years everything will be catch-up where you chose exactly what programmes you wnat to see at any time of the day.

Agreed, internet speeds have completely changed our viewing habits.

YouTube certainly has a place and it’s all about personal taste really. Educational stuff, watching music videos and old tv stuff I get and I will watch, but these vlog I just don’t get.

This is basically a lad and his dad’s home video at the football, I just don’t find it interesting at all but obviously plenty of people do, so fair play to them.

Pipe down, you and your pal seem to think that everyone is interested in your opinion as well, with your stats and analysis and reasonable comments. We’ll have less.

In fairness even as an owd git, it’s pretty much like that with me already and even though the Mrs hasn’t bought into the watch when you want to revolution, I’d assume it’s also pretty much standard practice with many media users now. The only things that I watch live are sport and news, and even they get paused and wound back from time to time. ;)

That was decent too and that’s us a few seasons ago you feel the pain - plus she voted GCB the best chant/song in the championship so she’s ok by me!
I thought exactly the same when I watched it, she’s as peed as I was under Adkins and Adams, although fortunately we’ve never been as deep into the mire as Bolton seem to be on a yearly basis.
