Captainmorgans and ShropsBlade, tell that to a junior doctor!

Junior doctors are regularly asked to work 70-80 hours per week. Thirty-six hour shifts without a break are not unusual. Nor are the doctors being paid for all the hours they work.

They should have become a professional footballer then 🤷‍♂️

Wasn’t Wilder moaning about the training pitches when he was here? If we’re pointing fingers, maybe they should be in the direction of the ownership.
Here’s some “questions for PA”
Why did it take so long to sort the pitches out?
Who appoints our medical staff?
Who chooses where are players are treated? Are they being treated by sports injury specialists?
What discussions have you had with the manager on our fitness problems, what is his assessment and recommendations and have you implemented any of them?

PA or Bettis addressed some of those things considering the money lost during COVID meant a lot of the things the club had planned to do either got delayed or cancelled. The hotel being one of those things too. Wilder knew the club was impacted by COVID but just refused to accept it.

As for staff then PA shoulders some blame but he did get the lad in from Preston during the summer.

This belief that Hecky can do no wrong is weird. It was weird under Wilder but at least Wilder had built up credit in the bank with a promotion or two. Hecky has been here a year and done well but these ongoing injury problems is beyond bad luck. Someone somewhere is dropping the ball with player welfare and Hecky's in game management of players is certainly worthy of criticism.

What's weird is some of our new fan base .f ing barking mad

How many clubs in our league and below have to contend with far worse facilities, quality of medical support yet manage to have a fraction of our repetitive long term injuries?

If anything teams with a lower budget seem to have much fitter squads because they can't afford to have half their fucking team injured for a sustained period of time. Neither can we despite PL parachute money.

Warnock worked on a shoestring here but rarely did we have that many players injured. The only ongoing injury issue that sticks out a lot was Steve Kabba.

JOC aside the only ones under Wilder were Moose due to him wanting to eat a kebab house. Then the gambles on players such as Rodwell and Morrison who have tossed off their careers. It wasn't often we had any first teamers out regularly.

Good points well made.
Irrespective as to the reason/s as to why half our first team squad is permenantly injued there is a reason or reasons. Luck isn't involved. A continuation of the current situation will see us drop out of the play offs soon and we won't recover. This is our opportunity. I hope beyond hope in true Blades style we don't blow it for the most ridiculous of reasons.

Not surprised at all, probably not see sander and bogle till sometime in the new year!

I think we will see Bogle and Lowe back before NY but odd that Sander isn't back in training as he was due to be back fit around the Cardiff match.

Maybe he’s been allowed to go back Norway for a break? Or some treatment over there?

Certainly this is the postive of the world cup break.

Would think Doyle, Fleck will be back for Hudders. Maybe Lowe and Bogle not too far behind.
Expect Sander few more weeks away is my guess.

As for Anel, having seen photo's of him recently out and about he looks fine. Which makes me think it is more likely he had Glandular fever and they are not wanting him to get post fatigue of this. Who knows with him.

I don’t know, but I guess it is in single figures

So you think only a handful of Lg1 and 2 clubs have inferior set ups to ours? Add only 1 or 2 in the Championship? Incredible.
Without a doubt.
Some may have certain aspects better than ours, but not overall facilities .
Just because we strive to have Premiership quality training facility, does not mean that we are failing to be better than nearly all EFL clubs.

The blades facilities though not perfect are actually very good ,any doubting this have a run over to middlewood road

You don't understand the point. I'm saying our facilities are BETTER than most clubs in our league and the 2 divisions below Those clubs have INFERIOR facilities to ours yet maintain far lower levels of repetitive long term injuries. I can't spend more time explaining so if you still don't understand my OP maybe just move on and maybe have better luck with another thread.

I understand your original point and apologise if I became side tracked.
My original reply suggested that our injury situation is not so much worse than many teams in our league, but perhaps it was wrong to include L1and 2, who have a different set of challenges and fixtures.
As you say, let’s move on to another topic.

Brilliant having him back. Considering the amount of time he’s had out, to play like that I thought was pretty outstanding. I know Ndiaye took the official “assist” for Berge’s goal, and Berge sought him out afterwards, but Bogle was instrumental in that.
Agreed, he had a superb first half.

Agree.....Baldock is more of a very reliable hard working Steady Eddy.
Think Baldock might be slightly better at defending.

However Bogle is more attack minded, he has quick tricky feet and able to dribble past opposition defenders.
It gives us a new threat down the right wing which we haven't had all season.
