Bogey sides

Since i been watching united from the early 2000's got to say Bristol city and Millwall (last 2 home games) always been them teams we struggle against. Id even say Forest. Anyone else name a side we struggle against from past or even have stats stating worst team for us.

I remember as a kid Reading had something over us, we'd just never beat them.

I think we played them away in 2008 or something and beat them 3-1, David Cotterill scoring if I remember correctly. Since then we seem to consistently beat them.

Bristol City and lee Johnson seem to be the only ones in the championship that have figured our system out, and seem to play the perfect game plan against us.
There actually the one team I don’t want to play in the play offs

Preston used to be one. They always seemed to win against us, those few years after they came up into the Championship under Moyes.

Oh and Walsall in the halcyon League One years.

Started seeing my Reading-supporting mrs in 2002. We won the first game against them 2-0 in December 2002, and then this happened:



"FML", as the kids say. Although funnily enough we're P10 W8 D1 L1 (and that loss was in the FA Cup) since then - they probably now think we are their bogey side.

We beat Millwall two seasons ago! And have drawn the last two!

Should have beaten them a few times when they've scraped a draw even before last 2 seasons

I always felt like it was Ipswich or Norwich but don't have the stats to back that up.

We had a 19 game winless run at Portman Road in league, Cup and playoffs between 1975 and 2010.

We also didn't beat them in the league home or away between 1993 and 2005 - a run of 18 games without a win. We did of course beat them in the FA Cup twice and knocked them out of the playoffs during that period.
