I sit on E so didn't see exactly what happened, but a lad collapsed over on that side shortly before our first goal. Caused the Kop to rise up and try see what was happening over there. Lots of gesticulating from the Gangway G faithful to get someone up to help.

Went down for a beer at half-time and they parted the crowd to get him out safely. Lad was carried out on a chair/stretcher thingy by paramedics.

Sincerely hope the bloke is okay. No idea what happened to him but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Was that what triggered the whistling? From where we were it sounded like people having a go (unfairly) at our sideways play but once I heard about the bloke collapsing I wondered whether it was just people trying to get the stewards attention?

I noticed it seemed to take ages to get the poor person some help. Surely they should have a better method of communicating between themselves the stewards and paramedics.

I was about 5 seats away I think he had a seizure, not a very nice thing to see and I truly hope he's made a full recovery. Ridiculous how long it took for paramedics to attend the scene. We were all whistling and waving at the paramedics down at the front and they just looked back at us and didn't act fast enough for me. One again get well soon blade, hope to see you back at the lane soon :)
