Evening all,

Voice has finally recovered enough to record a reaction podcast to Saturday - a slightly rambling, incoherent run through the emotions, the experience, and what it means.

I'm planning on doing a ton of season review type content when the season is, y'know, actually finished, but in the meantime this is all about the moment. Hope you enjoy, and thanks so much for listening.

In this pod we talk about:
- the game itself (03:20)
- the most Wilder goal possible (15:00)
- Jack O’Connell sealing the deal (24:24)
- those celebrations (28:44)
- John Egan: master songwriter (38:39).

I've been waiting for this, cheers!

Brilliant guys and so look forward to the reviews you will be doing

Cheers lads. This will ease the commute in tomorrow.

Been looking forward to this one, and going to bang it on for my drive home from work.

Last night driving back from work I listened to your pre-season predictions. 10th........

Sooo good!...glad I’m not the only one giddy like a kid at Xmas.
This is really special in’t it!? I thought seeing Billy captaining us to promotion from L1 was the embodiment of every Blade’s dream, but this is a different level.
We may never have it this good again and I effin’ love this team. The spirit is unbelievable and they’re serving up the best football I ever seen any Blades team produce.
In Wilder we trust ⚔️

well done guys, just keep them coming. We are going to need you guys during the summer. What a incredible achievement from this team. I predicted around 10th also

This is my finishing my dissertation treat guys thanks! Look forward to sticking it on tomorrow

Agree that the first goal need to be really appreciated, as it very much symbolises our football under Chris Wilder. Couldn't find it in full on the official highlights, so put it up here via mobile filming:

Excellent - cheers for that! It's an even more Wilder goal than I remembered, with the Norwood switch-of-play to start it all off.

If the first was Tufty ball, the 2nd must have been a Knill set-piece special! JOC was fannying around with multiple drinks bottles at the sideline and then jogged into centre of the box unmarked. Fleck was clearly waiting for him to assume the position. Loveleh

Thanks for that, great podcast as usual, especially enjoyed this one. Good perspective about sod the owner's battle etc and just enjoy the moment.

About your theory on JOC's goal I think there might be something in it. We're sat pretty close to the dugouts and I got a clear view and I thought at the time he's taking a while with those energy gels. Usually from what I've noticed they just have one quickly unless it's a stoppage, but he seemed to be hanging back a bit, then had a second gel and then a drink before finally going over for the corner. Brilliant little trick that if it was the case :)

Great pod, guys. I think you struck the perfect balance between giddy celebrations and serious analysis.

I thought it was the perfect balance between hangover and joyous celebration.

You've done some cracking pods this year lads, so thanks very much. This one lacked a bit on serious statistical analysis, but more than made up for it in pure "YESSSSSSSS!".

Brilliant podcast as ever and I’m looking forward to the post season review and content.

I also finally listened to the international break pod as well. I hadn’t been able to listen before as there was a ‘promotion’ topic that I wanted to avoid until it was done.

This going up podcast was excellent. Really love how you not only tagged onto the club celebrations with this pod but provide the passion and stats to yet again back up why we’re as good as we are.

People may look at us ahead of next season and rightly say that we’ve not spunked money like Wolves so instantly we’re not good enough. But I think you can testify that we’re probably going to surprise a few and we’re better than the second place that we currently occupy.

We had a few little dips in the season but I think these have yet again allowed us to progress. This side believes in itself and I think unlike most sides, we realise the potential of all facets of the club - players, management, coaches, back room.

The way we play will no doubt spring a few surprises next season

Cheers SB! I think we'll go much more stat-heavy again with the season review stuff, there's a few crackers that I've waiting for the end of the season before I drop them in :D

Wolves are a bit of an anomaly with the Portuguese super agent set-up - Ruben Neves was Champions League quality playing in the Championship and the rest of that squad was already Premier League-ready before they signed players like Jimenez. We should really be looking at how Burnley / Bournemouth / Brighton have conducted themselves, I think. And, to be honest, we should definitely be looking at Fulham as a "how not to handle promotion".

Yeah I think there’s probably a few sides we could look at in that respect. Wolves as you say were an anomaly and it’s not that surprising that they’re doing as well as they have.

Fulham completely made a mess of things, expected much more from them in terms of recruitment and performances.

Cardiff probably over achieved to get up and I’d expect us perform better than they have, with the correct tweaks and to continue the way we’ve played this season.

Like you I can’t wait to see Bash in the prem, but the likes of Stevens, Baldock, Egan and JOC will all be good to see...

Central mid and strikers should do well, we just need to keep the balance we have now with madine and Hogan offering us some really different options to McG and of course billy.

To be honest, I’m so proud of this whole squad, but for Billy to get another chance in the Prem as a better player than he was when he joined us, it brings a tear to my eye
