End up sat there for about half an hour staring at the floor.

We have played Villa 4 seasons in a row, and so we have more "recent history" with them than anyone else. All 8 games were notable for one reason or another:

2017-18 2-2 away - we got a draw after going 2 down after 10 mins thanks to Clayton's excellent double
2017-18 0-1 home - Snodgrass's spectacular last minute winner on a night when we had no luck
2018-19 4-1 home - many people (including me) said the first half was the best they could remember us playing in 45 mins
2018-19 3-3 away - Billy puts us 3-0 up...you know the rest. First time since 1986 we'd gone 3 up and not won
2019-20 2-0 home - Fleck double, Grealish hits the bar with a VAR pen
2019-20 0-0 away - the first match in England after lockdown, and the goal that never was
2020-21 0-1 away - VAR red for Egan, Lundstram misses penalty
2020-21 1-0 home - VAR red for Jags, United hang on and win with no first choice defenders on the field

Our overall record is not bad (W3 D3 L2), but it "feels" worse. One "good" thing about going down is we don't play them next season!

Great pod. I think these get better as time goes on. There's a real natural flow and honesty to the conversation and I think you both do a great job of discussing the games.
