It wasn't a penalty though, you can say what you want about Walker being in the wrong position facing his own goal but the player ran into his elbow because he was getting nowhere near the ball. The ref fell for it.

Maybe, but if he had been picked to play in his proper position instead of being wasted at centre back he would have been coming at the ball from the right & it wouldn't have happened.

In a dire second half I thought he was one of the better players. He tried to bring the ball forward instead of passing sideways or to the feet of someone whose back was to the goal.

I'm not sure how proud the club should be of that. Yes, he learnt his craft at the Lane, but he had to leave us to have a chance.

We produce them and other clubs benefit but it shows that our academy system works. If we can hold tight and keep our promising players that would help.
