Our record attendance. 68,287 from memory. My Grandad was there (he would be 100 if he was alive). You couldn't see anything due to the fog.

We were at home against Spurs in the sixth round: only 20,000 or so attended, after the fiasco of the previous round.

Mine too. I remember him telling me about it. He'd be 114.

My Grandfather was in the crowd. He would have been 116 yesterday.

Mine would now be 107. There was no chance he was there as he was serving in the Army at the time, but wouldn't have ventured anyhwere near as we were a big Wednesdayite family. Him, his 5 brothers and his dad were all of the blue persuassion.

Fortunately my dad saw the light and the rest is history.

Haven't got the foggiest (quite apt really) whether my Grandad was there or not...though quite possibly he was. Neither have I got a clue how old the old twonk would be now. I do know however that if he was taken to the Lane tomorrow he would be a bit ripe. They would have to dig him up first as well.

The scary thing is that that season is the last time we played in a cup final :O for now ;)

Wonder if anyone who was there is still alive. If you were 12 in 1936 you'd be 93 today.
