That game was marked by Adkins giving up on football as a means to success and instead getting McEveley, Hammond et al to just shoe the opposition all over the place. It was embarrassing but it got a result somehow.

Lest we forget that McEveley was one of our better players in that period. Holy moly.

I've fucking tried Jade, believe me I have!

It's just the so unnecessary hand ball versus Spuds at the fake Lane and the oh, so unnecessary hand ball vs Swindon and the useless defending and the Madkins Captaincy (fuck the Lord baby Jesus for that one).

I have tried to forget.

Truely.

BUT YOU KEEP ON FUCKING REMINDING ME!

Apologies

People should really stop using the word tackle and start using the word assault. the real villain there is Linesman how he didnt pull the ref to one side and say see that pudding there, for the safety of the Coventry players and the sanity of everyone else in this stadium, send him off...Please.

Perfect timing, technique and delivered with the requisite amount of tenacity to win the ball from the opponent and stop the opposition attack.

Brilliant tackle. Not even a yellow. Ish.

Couldn't agree more and a fairly routine challenge from the George Santos book of 'How to tackle Andy Johnson'..

Typical soft southerner making a right meal of it......

Fine tackle, gerrup and gerron wi it ya soft git!! :D

And let's not forget their disallowed goal at the kop end which was clearly over the line.

We rode our luck that day for a change.

red card - no - ref got it right - as they do most of the time.

Don't refs only get one look in real time - where as armchair pundits get 27 million?

UTB

Here's Marcelo's goal from the original tie...

After that goal and what a great moment it was, the commentator said something along the lines of "the FA Cup means everything to everybody", I immediately thought, try saying that to some of our fans who'd rather us get knocked out every year to concentrate on the league.

We'll be automatically in the 3rd round next year in any case .
