I really can't figure out the thinking behind seemingly playing each game at a different venue this season. I'd love to be able to get to a few of these during the week but can't keep up with the venue changes etc. Bit of a nightmare tbh.

Two lads I really like - Waldron (the right back, no 2) and Havenhand (the centre forward, no 9) both worth keeping an eye on.

This one was scheduled to be at York but was postponed, York had a home game last night might have been unable to host this due staffing issues (not able to give stadium staff 11 hours break between last night/today) or not wanting to over use the pitch?

The commentary just mentioned Glanford Park - which we used for the game against Newcastle. Think we've also used Belper, the Lane, Shirecliffe, York and now Alfreton!

It looks like this was hastily rearranged due to it being postponed previously.

Ah I'm watching it without comms so didn't know that, thought it was originally scheduled for York! - It does seem very random this year for some reason - In the past FA youth cup games were always supposed to be played at the clubs main stadium, not sure when that changed!

Started well with little end product but West Ham are all over us now. We’re getting nowt from these long punts towards Havenhand.

Well we got back into it without creating one decent goal scoring opportunity. West Ham probably should be in front. Not a bad performance against a top academy but, tbh, a poor game to watch.

0-0 at HT. Any sort of result would be good here, West Ham are a very decent outfit.

Seems with the exception of Hampson we’ve resisted the temptation to make any of the 21’s who qualify for this fixture available means it’s a pretty young side that we’ve put out.

Sadly as this one draws to a close it's been men v boys for large periods, especially second half. No shame on our lot having fielded a young side by u18s standards but the West Ham lads look exactly what you'd expect from a club that can pick and choose at Cat 1 level in a city as big as London - big, strong, athletic and that bit better on the ball.

Category 1 v Category 2 are mostly men v boys but there are one or two in here have accused SUFC of being Academy blockers which is daft! The likes of Lopata and Slater think they are better than they really are!
