I know it's not the prevailing opinion on here, but that looked like a penalty to me. You shouldn't shove someone like that, regardless of whether it's enough to actually knock them over. Still, can't argue with the result!

Barely even touches him.

It's still a two-handed shove in the back. Fouls aren't generally judged on how hard you hit someone.

No pushing motion whatsoever. It's a natural reaction to raise your hands when you are going to collide with someone/something.
I can see why the ref gave it...but it was as soft as shit

When you look at the 50/50 challenges he let go it’s even more surprising that he gave a pen.

I thought he reffed it really well apart from the pen. He was letting the soft fouls go outside of the box but then gave one inside, bizarre.

If you give them, then you have to give a penalty at every corner to be consistent. In the highlights there is an example of a Reading player pulling a handful of a Blades shirt and it is very obvious.

Said exactly the same at the time - giving penalties like that (which he couldn't wait to give) and it opens a massive can of worms, especially at corners. Yes, Baldock had his hands on the attacker, but i didn't see any pushing motion, certainly nowhere near enough to prompt the "reaction" it got !

It was the same reaction he’d have got from almost any PL player. It was stupid.

Definitely a penalty. I was close to the incident and saw it clearly.

RE: the penalty, definitely in the bracket of seen em not given. It’s a clear overreaction by the striker which often does put refs off.

the co-commentator on my stream, which may well have been via Facebook, who I also didn’t recognise, said “No way” straight away, then described it as extremely harsh, but Baldock did give the ref something to think about.

But anyhow, who gives a fuck !

Bet Wilder gave him a right bollocking that was a stupid pen to give away.
We were having an easy night and than pen
gave Reading a big lift making the rest of the game difficult.
