It's the time and space they get to find the finish too. Mo's in a nothing position and then suddenly he's got room to pick out a nice shot.

It's one of the reasons we don't score enough goals, I'd rather us lose but have 10 shots on target than lose with only 2! That's 8 more chances of scoring in my eyes!

It's a deliberate tactical choice we make to create quality chances over pot shots from range. Last season the teams with the highest ratio of long to short range shots were Fulham and Huddersfield.

Fair enough, but the team this season with fewest long range shots must be us, and, you can't tell me we score enough goals, it's just our defence is so good we don't concede many.
Majority of the "trying to find the perfect shot" ends up in us losing the ball, because as it's been pointed out, we're playing against better quality defences than we were in the Championship, and the fact also remains, we still need to score more goals, so why not try a few from range?
