Is Wilder trying to stop the ref sending Mowbray off there or pointing out that touching the ref’s arm while yelling at him incomprehensibly constituted two bookable offences?

Yeah, Radio Sheffield seemed to think Wilder was trying to stop the ref sending Mowbray off. Waving his hands at him to say don't do it.

Mowbray, what a dickhead. Actually put his hand on the ref's arm in the first instance, that could have been a second yellow by itself.

Wilder defending Mowbray on RS though.

I don't know the rights and wrongs of the initial incident (I saw it, but was too far back to hear anything). But you grab a ref like that and you're asking for trouble.

Interesting that Wilder talks about us maybe deserving a point against Leicester at the end of that interview - either he's had a bit of a change of heart, or he was very much being consciously hypercritical in his comments on Saturday!

I think on Saturday he was pissed off about first half performance that it clouded his overall view of the match in his post game interview. I reckon he has since watched it back and seen we didn't perform that badly over the 90 minutes.

That Blackburn kit is a shocker isn't it.

I was trying to think what it reminded me of all game, at first I couldn't get past the "NHS scrubs green" socks but I've figured it out now, an old Peugeot or Renault, early 90s, the seats in a model called ”genié" or "Joy!" or something, or a late 90s shitbox Daihatsu or Mazda.

Grey velour with turquoise migraine inducing pattern.

The win tonight (however we attained it) was more important than it would probably seem at face value.

When the media blab on about the our start to the season, two wins and a draw in our first 4 games sounds very positive but if we’d lost tonight, we’d have two defeats on the bounce going into the Chelsea game. Defeat there would see us on a 3 game losing run and put us on a downer going into the the international break and the players would be under serious pressure against the Saints.

It may just be media talk but I think that we need to take all the positive vibes we can get this season, and the win tonight might just be the different between ‘Struggling Sheffield United’ and ‘The Blades have had a decent start’.

True, we did need to win while playing poorly.

not sure how Morrison got MOM Osborn was clearly the highlight and Mousset looks like he could be a star. It was a shocking game not even League 1 standard thankfully Blackburn couldnt hit a barn door. Moore's save was brilliant. However we won so its a positive going into the Chelsea game.

Think this is the first game I never heard any singing from the Blades.

How long after the game were his comments on Saturday? 🤔

A bit like grabbing a copper by the arm and then complaining about being arrested
