He’s got lots of pace but his decision making is still inconsistent but you’d hope that’ll come with time. I’ve got to take issue with him being far better than baldock though he’s not been tested defensively at anything like the level baldock has.Seriki leaps and bounds better than Baldock, i'd be quite happy if baldock left tbh. He's delaying this guys chance to improve our right hand side
Injured I believeDoes anyone know where N’diaye has disappeared to? Contract problems or injured?

Not commented on here for months, too many lunatics.
But the idiocy of some of the comments on here just could t stop my urge to remind some of you....these are kids playing kids ffs!! Not one of the United players today showed they are ready for the first team now, and that includes the supposed first team player who struggled to cause Wigan’s defence a single problem
Better than Baldock!!! Fuck me, what a cretinous comment.
I’m sorry to burst some bubbles and knock some rose tinted specs off here but despite some having talent they each lack something that will see most of those lads just miss making the grade.
Of all the lads I saw today the one closest to being ready, and who looked like an accomplished player was the lad Neal in midfield. won his tackles, read the game, kept it simple, moved it quickly and accurately, rarely gave it away and simply ran the midfield for us.
Sadly, most of the rest on display will fade away.
Yet Mousset can make no impressionPeople seem to forget these lads are effectively playing in Division 3 as well. It's not even a good standard at their own age group! Most, if not all of them, are way off breaking in to a Premier League (soon to be Championship) team.

I also thought Neal was solid if unspectacular. Didn't give the ball away. Seemed to do the basics very well. Not commented on here for months, too many lunatics.

Weird you say that, personally thought jebbo showed more on a brief cameo than 23 million pound rated Brewster has in months! Not commented on here for months, too many lunatics.

Yes they have, getting that insight into the first team while trying to appease fans outraged by what’s happened this season.A couple of them have already been on the bench for Premier League games. By "making the grade" do you mean playing in the Football League?
Surely
So... No players on a bench is better than 2 or 3 then? come on mate.. Let's just enjoy the team playing. They're young lads who have enough weight on their shoulders without people throwing "realistic comments" about them. Personally enjoyed watching the youth teams over the main team. Much more dedication.. passion and loyalty.Yes they have, getting that insight into the first team while trying to appease fans outraged by what’s happened this season.
Those annoyed that despite not being ready or good enough to play, Wilder (correctly) didn’t fill his bench with these lads for games just to make the numbers up.
Out of that group of lads making the mainstay of that 23s over the season we will do well to see one make more than 10 appearances for the club, half won’t make it in league football and the rest may make a career in lower leagues. That’s just how it is at every club and these are no different.
Depends what your thoughts are on managing people’s expectations.So... No players on a bench is better than 2 or 3 then? come on mate.. Let's just enjoy the team playing. What are they like at pointing though?Given some of the performances that a few of the first team have put in this season, I think unless the youth players were unable to walk, they’d not do any worse.
The boys throw themselves into challenges, give their all to the shirt (thats a youth team by the way) I don't see the likes of Lunwank busting a gut to get to a loose ball.. I don't see Fleck making direct runs towards the opposition.. I don't see the defensive unit operating as a unit not individuals.. I know you mention they're vastly inexperienced and "not likely to make it" but how much worse could a kid who's willing to do the hard yards possibly do when compared to the wasters in the squad (Lunwank, Moose etc)Depends what your thoughts are on managing people’s expectations.
Without getting into a dull chat about the “everyone can win and a medal for competing” way of schooling in life for the past 25 years I'm from the generation where you have to earn success and be deserving of it, rather than just getting it handed to you through default.
And by raising expectations beyond the eventual reality you are simply making that sudden fall when that reality hits even bigger!
As for dedication/loyalty...I’m not sure what you’ve seen to justify that comment. These lads have no option to be loyal at the moment, and if they weren’t dedicated to it they wouldn’t be where they are as that’s the difference between them and the lads they went to school with and those who were pissing about, getting in bother, getting pissed in the parks and chasing skirt during their teenage years!
Much rather these lads were kept grounded, aware of the reality facing them and enjoy their moment and achievements without unrealistic and uneducated “fans” elevating their actual abilities and making crass and ridiculous suggestions that they should be playing in the first team!! Because those lads are easily influenced and will start to believe it because they want to believe it’s true!
Fact is, those lads are fantastic in getting to where they are and I admire any lad who’s made it onto the books of any pro club because I know first hand what it takes to get there and what they have gone through.
Just on another note too.. call me crazy, but I'd be happy seeing the midfield consisting of something like - Berge - Neal - Fleck. As i said earlier in the debate.. Jebbo did more in the brief cameo than a player bought for 23M who's got "champions league experience" if they've got something about them, give them a chance.. Worse case is they show they arent ready so go back to the U23s'.Depends what your thoughts are on managing people’s expectations.

None, it’s opinion. When things are going badly, fans turn on certain players and the team as they are now, one way to get themWilder and Heckingbottom both picked Gordon on the bench.
What evidence do you have that both of them picked him to appease fans?
How much of the U23s have you seen to declare that at best they will become lower league players?
All true. But there's no reason there haven't been more 10-20 minute cameos in what have basically been friendlies since February. Nobody is expecting 3 or 4 of them to start games. But we are still wasting first team minutes on players with no future at the clubNone, it’s opinion. Onside is to paint success in kids...try to paint the future as bright!
Stats confirm the ratios of players that make it from youth teams. It’s low.
Finally, no, I don’t watch all U/23 games. But I can see the level they are playing and it’s low...pop those lads up against the big clubs and you’ll see the difference.

We're not talking about throwing the full team in though, we're talking one or two players in positions if not for 30 mins at the end. We're relegated, expectation is at an all time low, so surely now's the time to give some minutes to the youth team that's romped their league, if anything as a way to see where abouts they're all at.I will give you Mousset. For me he’s showing himself up at present as a bit of a disgrace.
But let’s word this another way...the players you mention are more than capable of doing all the things you mention and more, that’s a fact because they have done it...some for much longer than others! These lads have had some good games playing against kids at the same level, and if we took that U/23 side and stuck it in league football where would it end up?
Running is one thing, and yes it is very important. But being able to play football, understand the game and do a job specific job in a tactical plan is critical. These lads aren’t blessed with the world class skills and genius that will allow them to be in the side because they can do the extraordinary and be excused the tactical aspect to some degree...those players are at the big clubs. They get in there because they can do the basics pretty consistently, but then the difference between them and the best might be down to how they grow physically, mentally and develop intelligence.
I maintain that unless they are good enough to play, then they shouldn’t be on the pitch. Jebbison might be the one...there’s been lots of players play the odd game then fade out the game and I hope he’s one of the few that keeps improving and becomes a top player for us. But chucking these lads into a side getting hammered every week isn’t a good learning environment!
Except for me a premier league debut is the ultimate goal of pretty much most young footballers, and I wouldn’t want mine handed to me in their position because those that ARE there on merit have been or are not at the top of their game. Because even though it’s subjective, I’m very confident the current most hated player at the club (Lunny) would be more competitive and consistent than any of the lads in the 23’sAll true.
