Blades to finish 7th......allegedly!

...and even despite their start, I'd still fancy us to beat Leeds on our day.

Y'know what? This happened last year so I bookmarked the link which had a link to the prediction! Funny old thing it was such a pile of crap it's been deleted.
Just printed it off......be back with the comparison in May!

Thought it was this week's league table. Not much different from how things already stand

"One day" said the technology professor, "Computers will be so powerful they will be as big as factories. And floppy discs (a new portable storage system) will hold so much data, they will be as big as cars."

Fuck any computer, with the evidence I’ve seen so far I see no reason why we can’t challenge for the automatics.

Bang on.

We have nothing to fear and on our day we are better than anyone in this division. We just need to have consistency and have plenty of 'our days'.

There will be a serious meltdown at Villa if they finish 11th!
I think 6th to 8th is realistic for us. If we can sneak into the play-offs with some momentum, who knows?

Don't understand how they can put one of the biggest clubs in World Football at no. 15, especially after they've just beaten PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid in their last 3 games. Shurely shome mishtake.

Exactly, plus some luck on the injury front wouldn’t go amiss.

Of course Derby will finish top 6, they have Lampard, that manager with vast experience and TV talking bollockser.

Out of that lot only Boro and WBA are certs for top 6 and possibly Leeds if they're still in the mix come the new year. The other 3 slots are wide open and we're as good as any.

Wilder has us too 6, injuries permitting I’m inclined to agree.
Anyone NOT fancy a Wilder side to do well in a play off situation?
That remind me, get the hotel booked early. :)

There are very few “certs” in football. Anyone who thinks they can predict the Championship final table after six games doesn’t understand the game.

Based on how teams have performed so far...
My super computer tells me Derby will be mid table since they've played 19, 21, 23 & 24 in the table (with Rotherham up next).
Bristol city will do ok(play offs), next match is going to be a good test for us.
Swansea and West Brom will be auto or play offs.
Don't write off Stoke they've had a tough start.

Summary inno specific order:
Boro, Leeds, Swansea, WBA, Bristol City, Blades, outsiders Stoke.

Lets close the thread then and not bother starting any others where we're discussing prospects. Suggesting WBA and Boro' to finish top 6 is hardly an outrageous prediction and even someone with your limited knowledge of football should be able to see the merits in that.

Anyway, have you finished counting how many goals from corners were scored in the World Cup or have you ran out of fingers.

I think he is busy trying to decide whether Billy is 'past it' and won't get 10 goals or is a critcal player in our current superb style.

Now, Billy scoring from a corner! That really would clog his memory circuits.....

He would then be tagging Foxy begging him to tell him it's not true as well!

Totally different ball game in the play offs, given, but last season against the ‘better’ sides in the division we really struggled. Villa won’t be near top 6 with that defence for me. We lost to Swansea and Boro to carry on that trend albeit with a slightly different team to what we have now.

I’ll reserve judgement on that question till we play a WBA/Stoke/Leeds.
