Philliskirk's offside goal at Elland Road in 1986, leading to a 1-0 win and chants of 'Edwards, what's the score?'
Coming back from 2-0 down at home to lower-division Burnley in the FA Cup 3rd round in 1993 to draw 2-2 with two VERY late goals. We went on to win the replay and go on to the all-Sheffield semi-final.

This is not my definition of lucky. Might have been better if Burnley had stayed 2-0 up in the first match!

Our dodgy fax machine meaning that we didn't sign John Flack. I never rated him anyway!

Went nightclubbing in Hull after a Friday night game at Boothferry Park mid-seventies - had mixed fortunes

Pulled a cracking bird about 1 pm (did she show me a trick or two - mucky cow) - Good luck

Got food poisoning after eating a burger from a van at 3 pm - disaster luck

Happy days - can't remember the result of the game though

Friday 17th September 1976. We drew 1-1 . Edwards scored.

Think nothing of it. :-)

28th October 1961 when the Bastards contrived to draw 2-2 with Fulham at my first game at BDTBL and I decided to stick with them. Then again maybe I wasn't so lucky.

The time in the warm up when Nick Blackman blasted the ball at me. It missed my nose by an inch and the hot cup of Bovril in my hand by much the same.

Phew.

v man city balloon goal

still makes me laugh

Then the City fans had the cheek to moan about it after the match yet they brought the fucking balloons in the first place!

Always makes me laugh when I watch the highlights of that match.

A mate of mine went to a house party that evening and many Blades players were there. Wally Downes was taking the mickey out of Simon Tracey for his dropped catch that led to Huddersfield's goal, Tracey didnt look happy!
It wasnt old Tom ,was it?,I know he was well in with United players through his "Josephines" connections....:D

Bit more recent but the Shaun miller goal against Fulham turning Maguires header into the net in the last minute to send us through to the 5th round or porter scoring 2 goals in about a minute against Forrest in the fifth round to win us the match 3-1 unluckiest could be Coady scoring 2 offside goals against Charlton in same season
Same match FA cup run when Charlton's Callum Harriot missed an empty net from 7 yards out.

We had a massive amount of luck in both cup runs under Clough.
Perfectly illustrates the old adage of, you don't need to be a good manager just a lucky one.yourejoking.jpg
